While all the attention of the New Years Honours list is on our Olympians, (and rightly so) lets give a resounding congratulations to Paul Sculthorpe, who has become an MBE. Although he never played for Wakey, there is no doubt that he is one of the all time greats in our sport. Congratulations, Paul

He's done a lot of good work since retiring. I think that helped get the gong rather than just being a great player.

he still has a few faults I don't like but he's diffidently been a good player for the game

I wouldn't denigrate his achievements, but I hold no truck with all this honours nonsense; when they offer me one, I'll make like Danny Boyle and refuse to accept it.

Think you would find with Sinfield and the way he thinks of these things he would refuse it.Im also not into this as in the past some have got them that most people would not agree with.Well done to Scully though as he has done a lot of good things off and on the field.

Glad to see Scully get recognised. I think it's important for our sport also to have a presence in lists like this.

Scully does a lot of stuff in the Wakefield area too via his charity work and also excellent kids holiday rugby camps.
