Thought Healy looked well when he came on. He put himself about and looked a very decent size. Hope he makes a few first team games this year. Also Cowling looked excellent again hes not had a bad game for us this lad. He made the tackle on Flannery that won us the game against St Helens. He showed real class when he kicked on the first tackle for mathers in the friendly. He shows no fear think we could have a real player on our hands. Like a young Michael Shenton.

Seriously though its a big year for these lads they need to force their way into more regular first team action.

Cowling as you say has bags of confidence and that is great to see, it will be interesting to see how it is affected when things do not work out for him.

Pretty much agree, but Cowling will be at Donny this year unless we have an emergency so enjoy while you can.

Good to hear that Danny went well at Leeds,he benefited from senior first team rugby last year at the dons as did Lucas,should they have been given a spot in the starting 13?for the boxing day clash.

You don't be a regular centre for St Helens if you are a bad player. You never know if we train Cowling up well he could become a better player than Shenton. I have seen a few things in this lad that has impressed me some of the young lads in the past have dissapeared into the background but Cowling has shown some very nice touches and I have stood up and taken notice !

Cowling dropped in at second row at one point too. I like the lad, would have started him ahead of Lyne.

I have too agree Healy and Cowling did well, Cowling I think as more to come with the right coaching around some good players will realy bring these players on..
Looking forward to these young players making the first team spot their own at some point..
