| Keith Mason not in talks with the club according to last nights forum, but two unnamed prop forwards are. Both of whom are in contract with their current club, and both of whom we can assume to be either British or off the quota, as we don't have a quota spot available.
Any ideas? Rumours?
Scott Wheeldon?
Adam Sidlow?
Jordan James?
All purely speculation, but we've been linked with Wheeldon before, and with Salford being in financial problems there could be a link there perhaps.
Or could it be a Championship player?

| James and Wheeldon are no better than what we got rid of. I'd like Massey but clearly not going anywhere.
Warrington and Wigan both seem to have a load of young props, as do Leeds. I'd be happy taking one ofthem on loan
If not Kirke or Mason I'm nort sure who else he could be looking at who is in contract. Maybe someone from Hull days?

O'Meley back on the cards, with John to Salford to free up quota space?

| If we can shift Issac John i'll take a punt on it being a player from overseas. Vic Mauro maybe? Has been rumoured in Australia that he's heading to superleague. If over here maybe we are still trying for Ian Kirke. Or possibly Dale Ferguson?

He'll be too expensive I'd have thought. Cards are being played very close to the chest apart from noises about being over strength in the back line Mellars & John will be getting worried - give 'em both to Salford and get Vic Mauro in exchange on a 2 year
Manley Paper - 'Interchange forward and North Curl Curl Knights junior Vic Mauro is tipped to head to the English Super League,'

Won't be us unless he drops his wage demands.

| I would believe RA on this. He seems pretty up front and honest. If we were interested we would be sorting a deal out now. Pre season is now taking place and i am sure if Mason was a target we would have been further on with this. I believe we are not after him and are looking elsewhere for a better quality player and not a penalty machine like KM.

i think it will be a non quota player because John is seen as cover in the halves as well as wood. Releasing John doesnt make sense unless we are going to sign another half back aswell.
I'd like to see a young up and coming championship prop who could get progress at top level someone along the lines of Alex Walmsley but not him as he has agreed to a dual registration with Batley. There are a few decent championship front rowers out there though how about Jack Howeison not sure if spelt right from sheffield good prop from what ive seen of him
