| Like last year, waste of time this at Manchester, lost its atmosphere when this was taken away from Cardiff, i used to love going down for the weekend, good crack in the pubs, for me this has burned out now, so not for me,

Everyone I've spoken to reckon Manchester was far better than Cardiff. I suppose we all see things differently, but I can't see them in a hurry to go back to Wales.

| I loved it being away, I saw it as an event, something to plan and look forward to and went for the whole weekend, now its in Manchester I'll only go for the one day. The trouble with RL in general is that we NEVER stick with a concept for 10yrs or so to make it work. IMO it would have eventually taken off in Cardiff if it had been paced in this slot from Day 1 rather than the 1st BH or 1st game of the season. It is invairably warmer than early May, kids dont have to be in school on Monday and as someone alluded to the atmosphere was brilliant. If it becomes a success in Manchester i'd hazard that these reasons all contributed rather than it being in Manchester.

| Been to Cardiff, Edinburgh and Manchester. Not much in it between Manchester and Cardiff IMO - Cardiff wins if the weathers poor, Manchester in the sunshine.
Given that so many complained about the sky high prices for accomodation, then the facility to travel daily should be welcomed - and a weekend of all games works out stupidly cheap!
The only thing they got wrong this year was the gap between games on day 1 - it was too long to hang about for. Sort that out and it'll be brill.
Deffo going - just waiting for details to see how long for!

I MUCH preferred Cardiff to Manchester.
Doubt I will bother with Manchester again.

| I thought it was a great weekend in Manchester this year. I stopped for both days, found some superb real ale pubs and a fantastic indian restaurant in the city centre. Spent a few hours boozing with the Catalan fans in the Sam Smith's pub Sinclair's Oyster Bar - any trip to Manchester now wouldn't be complete without paying a visit to that pub. Easy to get there on the train as well.

You're right about one thing, the RL never ever stick with anything.
I'll start the list with... War of the Roses

| I don't mind the venue - I do have an issue with the concept though; the manufactured 'derby' games don't work and give some teams an unfair opportunity to pick up 2 easy points.
There are numerous ways to produce some interesting draws for the weekend, but I'd prefer 1 v 2, 3 v 4 etc etc; given that it's something of a showcase event for the sport, one would assume that tough, competitive games between close league rivals would be an attractive proposition.

Doesn't work - the games would be as close or one-sided as they are for the derbies. Teams change in performance from week to week, month to month - never mind year to year. Besides, who better to beat than Cas!
