Issued a winding up order I've just been told.... Hope it's not true.

RFL have no cash left as it has all gone in Manafukoa (or whatever he's called) and Batemans new contracts ....

Sad indeed. Salford are a club with many similarities to ourselves and I truely hope it isn't the sign of things to come for the City Reds.

There is a strange comment about it only involving a small amount of cash and that they "have brought experts in to deal with it" and the company that have issued the winding up petition had origionally been employed by Salford to help them find new investment.
It all sounds quite odd !

Strange. If you owe somebody money you don't bring in 'experts to deal with it' you find the money and pay it, or not as the case may be. Won't the experts want paying ?

That aside I hope Salford can get it sorted for the fans sake.

Just sounds like a company that used to work for Salford putting in an invoice for what they think they are owed, Salford feel that said company are not owed a bean, said company throw a hissy fit and issue a winding up order. Once issued it cannot be withdrawn without the agreement of the court. So Salford will have passed it to their lawyers who will either say it has to be paid or they will aply to the judge to get him to quash it.
If the people who are supposed to be buying Salford conclude the deal then Salford will be the richest club in the game. Quote from my very good source ` they make Leagan ( Wigans owner ) look like a big issue seller `

I think I read that it was a business brought in to help them seek new investment that had sought the winding up order, and I think I read something earlier that that business was probiz????

The winding up petition has been presented by club sponsors and management consultants "Steuer Gregsson Limited" but i can't help but think that they are doing tis for a reason more than just a debt they are owed
