| It's always the way it seems to go....the small firms are the ones punished....
The absolutely scandalous partin all of that is the cost to the administrators....they should have been in and out much, much quicker and sold prized assets like Bateman at the earliest possible stage to pay some of those poor creditors off.....how the rugby league let that happen is nothing short of ridiculous.......really feel for the true Bulls fans....and the poor people who will not get their money they are owed.....
I hope people like BG rot in hell....

| Scandalous, how does this help the poor creditors!!!!!
"It also reveals the insolvency firm, which has run the club since it entered administration on June 26, worked out its own costs up to August 24 amount to £172,551.90 – with it staff working for an average rate of £205 an hour.
Included in that figure are 235 hours of work by partners of the firm, which include joint-administrator Brendan Guilfoyle, costing £75,360".
Taking the or what?
I was talking to a mate who has an idea about these things and he thought that the creditors would have recourse tgroughbtge official receivers office (?) but to put a complaint in was enough to put most people off.

| I'd say, without knowing how much ours charged, at least they weren't in the blooming papers every day and got on with the job they had.

| And despite all that, they never sold a single player; absolutely scandalous.
If any creditors decide to fight dirty, this one could run and run.

Even when they needed to come clean they still told lies

Not that I agree with them not having to sell any players but my guess is that it wouldn't have helped pay the creditors if they had.
I don't know how it works so this might be wrong but if they had sold any players it would have been to cover day-to-day running costs of the Administrator, eg paying player salaries etc to keep the club going.
So selling players would have meant they had to "borrow/be given" less money by the RFL to cover the extortionate salary bill they had. Can't imagine the RFL would have still given them the £200k per month they claimed to need to pay wages if they already had some funds to pay it out of. So creditors still wouldn't have got their hands on it, however the game as a whole (RFL) would not have lost the money they have had to dish out to fund Bradford's plucky fight for the top 8.

| I read somewhere that SL clubs had agreed not to raid the clubs contracted playing staff whilst in administration. So if that was the case, the administrator had their hands tied with not being able to sell off cheap any contracted players.
I think it would be wise for the RFL to get their own in house administrators to deal with any future club problems. Keep the money within the game.

| If, as reported, the consortium have paid around 150k for the assets, they have got themselves a cracking deal, crikey, Bateman alone will be worth in excess of this figure.
Regarding the administrators fees, they are always at an exremely high level, but usually most of the work is carried out by clerks and not the partners ?
Also, unforyunately, there was never going to be anything left in the "pot" for the smaller creditors, after the taxman, bank etc the pot would be empty, bearing in mind it is usually the tax burden that forces companies into admin in the first instance.

| wasn't it stated at some point that the agreement by SL clubs, as part of the deal for giving their support, was that all the players would be free agents at the end of the season?

I'm not so sure about that, their reaction on Friday night might indicate that the opposite is true and I would expect most of the ooc players to be moving on.
Although the fans wont be happy, they could well have a similar type of squad to the one we had last season, which certainly wont help their attendance figures.
As a club, they have a fair amount of pain in the short term and the comments about Odsal becoming a sports village seem a touch optimistic.

TBF they seem to have been immune to any pain thus far, it wouldn't surprise me if (with support of the RFL and SL) they won the double next year and were given dispensation to sign the Aussie test team!!!!
