One of the best players I've seen down at Belle Vue in all my time watching Wakey....definitely in my all time top 5 players to pull on the shirt....

Thought he would have made a great success over here after playing, and I thought he would have done really well in the media side of things given half a chance......wish him all the best for the future!!

Really surprised by that news. Thought he was making a great success at Keighley. He will be missed. Good luck JD in whatever you do in the future. Might be our English summer that has made his mind up.

I'm sure he'll do very well whatever he ends up doing.....I'm yet to come across anyone knowledgable about the game to have a bad word to say about him.....especially from all the clubs he's been involved with....

Great guy and a modern day great for our club - both as a player and as a leader!

Hoped he would be back someday - maybe he still will, once he's got some top level coaching experience!

Give him a couple of years and you never know!!!

Remember an interview with him on radio Leeds and he said would love to one day become the coach but said he needed at least 8 years both here and in Oz learning the ropes.Though not the greatest player but he always gave his all and for that we should all wish him luck.Good luck JD and hope to see you back one day.

Always thought he might have ended up back at BV, coaching.
Top, top, bloke, who gave everything for the cause and went beyond just captain of the club.
Shame he's going but, if he has a decent offer to coach over in Oz, then good luck to the guy.

It's all part of the masterplan.

He goes back to Oz to continue hone his coaching skills and then returns as head coach at Trin when we're established in NM an ready to start winning things.

Best of luck JD. You've been the greatest servant of the club this century and held fondly in our hearts.

Probably our last home game of the season is Thursday 9th August against Leigh Centurions. Would be great if Wakey fans could get across and give him a great send off!

Any chance of the Cougars doing the same deal as the other year - entry for a fiver if in a Trinity shirt?

Would certainly make it appealing, though I will try to go anyway.
