Does anyone know of the truth of what I have been hearing.

A few times now I have heard that all SL clubs are to stop running a reserve side and just have scholorship and 19's. All players over this age are to be sent on dual reg.

Can anyone shed any light on this please or is it just rumours?

No idea if it's true or not, but fringe players getting game time in a competitive league would be much better off than playing in reserve games.

It is suggested that the the under 18`s become under 19`s and the under 20`s become under 23`s.

It will be interesting to see what they do if they are looking to make changes. Surely throughout all the SL clubs there would be too many players to send out on dual reg if open age was the prefered choice, I think 23's seems a more logical way to go.

If true it looks like feeder clubs are being slowly introduced into the league structure.

also heard the 15s and 16s to merge too which for the new 15s might find the jump a bit daunting

Got a mate who plays at donny. We're forging links with them to send our fringe players to the keepmoat. Hopefully they'll be in the championship next season so the lads should be playing to a decent standard

Been told that the 15 s won't be having games next year,just 16 s and upwards.

It won't help their future development is my view,and the lads will get fed up with just training routines.I don't know who's brainer this was if true.
