The Supporters Trust has been planning to hold an Event to Celebrate Newmarket receiving Outline Planning Consent. For obvious reasons we could not move on the enent until now.

We are proposing an event as follows:

Forum/ Q & A on the Next Steps - mainly procedures, timescales etc. nothing too detailed at this stage
Break for a nice meal
Comedian.

The aim is to provide a bit more information as to what happens next but more importantly after all the tension we have had of late to let our hair down and have a bit of fun and indeed "Celebrate"

More details will follow but are you all up for it.

It would be great if this could be arranged in the very near future.

Are there plans for a YCP representative to be there, to start putting some meat on the bones in terms of finance and timescales?

Because of the logistics of organising it and having a chance to sell tickets the event is likely to be in a couple of weeks time, we have a date planned but need to finalise details before announcing.

We will definitely try and make it a event worth attending and a chance to celebrate this magnificent news. Keep your eyes peeled, when we have definite dates and details sorted we will let you all know.


It was discussed at the Supporters Trust board meeting last night and at the moment we think it is a bit early for a representative of Yorkcourt but we are hoping to be able to put some meat on the bones of the plans gong forward.

We are trying to organise it at the earliest opportunity and its looking like w/c 9th July is the earliest we can do what with people being away in the South of France.

I'm sure those of us who are going to Perpignan will have a pre celebration there and I hope to have a glass or 2 with those who are there.

We will try to get appropriate people at the Q & A.

Sounds great - by then, the detail may already be emerging so there should be a lot to talk about.
