| Speaking of which how's Ben getting on at Salford? If he's not getting any game time Trinity could make an offer to bring him back.

He was starting prop with Shannon McPherson but unfortunately broke his knee capo at Widnes. He may be playing against Wakey for his comeback match in the 20's. Against his brother Adam

| He wasn't good enough for us, if you remember, we let him go after some indifferent performances. Give it a rest. good luck to him, now move on.

He's was only a kid and playing against some old big name props in SL, what do you expect from someone playing in a patched up side.
Still we got the likes of Hickey in to lift the skill/fitness levels at the club and show how it should be done.
Can't understand how props can be written off at such an early age.

I can't see into the future so its guesswork, others can and are willing to right off players at such a young age.

| I could be wrong on this one but I seem to remember that there was some sort of a bust up between the club and the agent who looked after Gledhill / Gledhills, same agent who looked after the Griffin boys. Do not remember what the fall out was about but was told that the agent then went out of his way to get all his players away from the club : Josh Griffin to Crusaders, George Griffin to Hull KR, Gledhill senior to Salford. I also seem to remember that the agent tried to get one of the other Gledhill boys, who is still at the club, to Hudds.
Was told recently that the problem between the agent and the club was resolved when John Kear left and that the agent is now welcome at the club.
All the above is just rumour.

Because they are fools - can't put it any other way.
People rave about Stosic who IMO was a decent journeyman nothing more, but how old was he when we got him 28ish - so it took him that long to become an reasonably decent SL player and one never likely to be in the NRL hall of fame. Yet people write Gledhill off at 21 - GIVE THE LAD A CHANCE to learn and grow into a man both physically and mentally and one day he may be as good as Stosic or better.
All players develop at different rates but if their hearts are in it they will do ok in time. I'd have Gledhill back why not, him leaving was just one of those things.

Anecdotes such as the above strengthens my feelings that player agents should be directly employed by the RFL and should a player wish to move on or need or find a new club they have access to said agent, who stands to gain no monetary reward from any deal other than his salary as paid for by the governing body. Sod this percentage malarkey.
Personal relationships with club officials should not even come into it and I would be seriously vexed if I were a players and my agent tried to shunt me on due to a disagreement between them and someone else at the club.
