What a cracking atmosphere it was in the new stand ( before all the trouble).

our next home game is against Salford who will bring there usual 150 fans if were lucky. So should we fill it and see what its really like. Half full of Trin fans was superb. Full of Trin fans will be awsome.

If this stand is to become the wakefield cop, some thought needs to be given as to where the away fans are to stand.
The north bank has always been the area that most away fans congregate, with the exception of Hull fc and unless this is thought out properley, there will likely be, further situations like Friday night, which brought shame on the club, the fans and rugby league as a spectator sport.
The atmosphere there before the kick off was increddible though.

TBF I don't think other sets of fans will come with such a belligerent attitude as a small minority of our friends from over the common as to where they stand to watch the game.

It was electric at first, felt like an away game. We can't lose the stand for being PC, plz no. It kinda felt like a dream in which we'd borrowed the old terraced Hillsborough kop for our local coal city Derby.

We could have sung a song about Jamie Field on Friday night and a 1,000 would have joined in. Fantastic infectious stuff.

Too right mate, loved build up to kick off never heard anything like it at a home game. More of the same at future home games i hope!

Brilliant atmosphere can't imagine the noise we would have made if we'd have won or played well. Stood on the right side of the north stand no cas fans near us and no trouble, only knew about the trouble when I got home and read about it on here. North stand for me from now on

Cat trick, do not embarrass yourself. Have you followed Wakefield to Salford in the last 20 years? Can't remember you bringing more than a hundred or so. Reckon we normally bring at least 300.

In my opinion we have to avoid scenes like last Friday at all costs, that means segregation. I would make the new stand on the Western Terrace "Away" fans only, have a fence installed just before the enterance to the Touchline bar and only admit away fans in the turnstyles near the toilet block in that corner of the ground.

Segregation causes more problems than it solves. Let people stand where they want

I can see that attempting to enforce segregation in a stadium that is not suitable for that purpose helped to cause some of the problems on Friday night. There is no realistic way to segregate at Belle Vue so it's a total non starter.

Segregation is a last resort if problems can't be controlled. The problems on Friday were caused in part by the reaction of some idiots not liking being 'told where to go' or segregated.

Segregation sets up groups of fans against each other and increases the liklihood of antagonistic anti-fan chanting, which is reportedly what went on on Friday. There should be zero tolerance of this kind of chanting and perpetrators should be evicted immediately.
