Having the owner of our club tweeting the score in the second half and posting pics of him and his buddies drinking beer on the way to the game im not knocking what glover has don i just cant imagine the Martin Edwards etc of this world behaving like that.

I don't think it is embarrassing... we are currently in a very twitter/facebook lead media. The media man for the wildcats couldn't do the updates so the chairman took the helm. In essence it was a cover measure from the club, not a regular thing.

In terms of the picture, it is a personal twitter feed, so what is wrong with putting a picture of him, and from what i could see, were the directors, travelling to the game?

The only embarrassing thing yesterday what was what the 17 players did on the pitch for 80 minutes.

Looks like he was having a few beers on way to rugby with a few pals, nothing wrong with that, I would say that's normal. It's good to see.

Surely one of the great things about our sport is the access you get to players etc, I saw him in the fans bar before the game talking to fans, is that wrong too?

Again re the twitter looks like like was covering for a colleague so fans not at game didn't miss out, seems like good customer service to me

All official club updates should come via the Official Twitter account and not those of chairman, chief exec or anyone else. That makes it simple for those who only want to follow that and not the 'personal' ones of members of staff.

I take your point, and normally this is the case (something which the media team have done well this year) but I think that this was a special case, and the chairman stepped in on this occasion.

I do think that the twitter feed this year has been excellent, living a long way away it has been so useful to keep up to date!

This is so petty. Nothing wrong with it. Mike Ashley does the same at newcastle. He deserved a few beers; hope he had a good drink after that performance.

For me the OP is talking rubbish, our Chairman and other people at the club like interacting with the fans either through Social Networking or in person, I saw AG and Martin Hopkins talking to a couple of fans in the stand before the game and also talking to fans in the bar and for me that is great. As I have said it is great that AG and the new regime keep us up to date with things, after all, wasn't one of the problems with the last lot that they didn't communicate with the fans?

Quite often watching Wakey after having a few is the best way to handle it. Kind of numbs the pain.

They do that on the website and the official Twitter very well, but some info has come out through Elston's twitter for one, and I don't really want to follow his personal feed just to find news that should come through the official one. It's not a difficult concept.

If you don't want to follow their personal accounts then don't, you have the choice as to who you follow.

Like I have said I think it is great that senior people at the club are in constant communication with the fans and long may it continue.
