| Hi there
I’ve just set up a little website with some images of Wakefield Trinity programmes over the years, some personal thoughts from my time being a regular, Wakefield’s tour of South Africa in 1962 and the South African players that we’ve had play for us over the years.
I sadly couldn't get my cat to wear my old Wakefield woolly (wooly?) hat, which was the image that I really wanted...
Hope the site's of some interest.

Cheers!

| brilliant. I've not even read any further than the list summing up your experiences, and that brought back enough memories. Thank you.

Great site and thanks for the memories. Have lots of old programmes myself including a couple from the South African tour. You may be interested to know there was another South African we signed from Bradford, called Rude Hasse (think that's how you spell it!)
He was a big second row forward but he was struggling in a good team in the 60's and didn't play many games, perhaps half a dozen or so.

| A great site, will go back on to look at more. From reading your list I think our family started to watch Trinity around the same time as yours. My other half was the hitler in the middle of the pitch in London!

| great post, surprised it hsn't had more hits. i'm finding it fascinating but can't remember the season that geoff gunney wes coach. took my coaching badge in the same group as andy kelly. one of the funniest men i've ever met. the whole week was one big laugh and i'm sure that andy eased peoples nerves. arthur keegan was our assessor and its just got me wondering if he is still knocking about.

Sadly, Arthur keegan died some years ago. As you know Arthur played for Hull many years but never had a good word to say for a lot of the Hull supportes - he thought they were far too abusive. No change there then!

sad to hear of his passing. he wasn't as funny as andy but had a dry subtle sense of humour and was still surprisingly accurate with the boot when demonstrating kicking techniques.

Amusing story about Nick du Toit from one of the links
www.eraofthebiff.com/p21-yarn-05.html
What was the name of the South African who we signed and was at the club open day on the Saturday, showing fans around the ground etc and was supposed to make his debut the next day (I think) but went back home?
