| A bit of help please. Three of us will be going Friday and coming back Monday the same as the clubs all in deal. I have looked at flights on these dates to somewhere near but can not find anything that would make it much cheaper when you add on transfers, ticket & hotel.
Now it's getting closer I would like to book something. Before I sign on for the club trip can anyone suggest a better option? I would prefer to fly to Perpignan but would put up with further away if it's cheap.
Any help would be appreciated as it works out at £429 each with having an odd number which is a big lump of cash.
Thanks

try www.cstspain.co.uk/. i have been with them four times before and been a great trip each time. Accomodation is in Callella (Nortern Spain) fly in to Barcelona or Gerona, much cheaper for beer etc hotel is pretty good, travel up to Perpignan on the game day included (get to Perpignan approx 11.30 and then back afterwards). Usually 50-60 Trinity fans stay there.

Bob, I think it may be done cheaper but you have to look at where you wish to stay. You can stay in Spain or on a camp site which will work out cheaper but if you want to stay in the centre of Perpignan I think you will struggle to shave much of the Club Trip and you will have to organise your own transfers or hire a car.
I think the only flight into Perpignan is with Ryanair from Stanstead.
It may be a bit more expensive on the Club Trip but except for getting to East Midlands and back its all organised for you. Come and join us on the Club Trip - the more the merrier.

Your return leg is the problem bit from leeds. Too many stops
Look at www.skyscanner.net/
It lets you toggle through all your options.
Air France from Manchester looks best to me.

| Thanks for those suggestions. I'll have a look tonight.
What I don't understand is that the club trip is £40 per night more for a single room. I looked on the Ibis website and the two central hotels are £48 & £50 a night single or double. I know they will buy a block of rooms so they do not pay the same rates but £120 more for three nights does look high if I have the correct details?

Take your point but I suspect as you say the Agent will have booked so many rooms. If they did not charge a single room/person supplement then most of us who are sharing would take a room on our own and it would restrict the number of people that can be accommodated. Bearing in mind he also has to book seats on Ryanair he will have the numbers tied in with the hotel accommodation. If he then requires extra rooms to accommodate "singles" he may have to pay an extra rate that may be around what you would pay for a room so hence the £40 although it does seem a bit expensive. I think its common in the Industry and I suspect that CST Spain will also charge a single room/person supplement.

Bit difficult unless you are David Walliams or Captain Webb.

I wasn't that impressed with Walliams - I think he was just going through the motions.

Why bother with a tent you should be able to just sleep on the beach at that time of year.

Thought I'd post what I booked in case any one else was struggling like I was. Thanks to Ossett Cat who gave the link www.cstspain.co.uk/. Both me and my mate thought that was the same Catan Sports Tours that the club are using until we looked at their site.
We are booking with them Friday to Monday which is £199 without flights. They pick you up from the airport, three nights in a hotel near the beach in Spain with breakfast/evening meal and take you to the game Saturday. The bloke said it takes two hours to get to Perpignan and you have 2-3 hours in the town before they take you to the ground. We are told it's a lot cheaper in Spain to drink which is why we chose this over staying in Perpignan. They also only charge £15 single supplement per night rather that the £40 per night the club trip charges.
I got flights with Jet2 Leeds Bradford to Barcelona. 10.40 Friday and 12.45 Monday. £388 for three including two cases, credit card booking fee and no meals. There is a discount on return flights at the moment but it doesn't show until you come to pay.
Just need the game ticket and we are sorted.
Never been before so I'm excited already.

| I have booked four of us from Birmingham on Ryanair into Montpellier with a car from Hertz to collect at the airport and drive up to Perpignan.
I haven't sorted the accomodation yet but it has worked out at £104 per person return flight and car hire so far.

| We have a team of 10 going via Barcelona and will be staying in Tossa del mar and driving up on match day as we normaly do.Big lunch at cafe vienna in the square and then to the game, cant wait .
BV Bob, as a veteran of 5 Catalan Trips, I can confirm that you have had good advice. Food, drink and petrol are substantialy cheaper in Spain.
