| Could somebody please sort out the stewards or lack of them in the east stand door, we couldn't get out to go the loo or buy drinks etc. There were lots of huddersfield supporters lots with young children which is great but not if they can't get out to use the facilities and spend their money, its not good enough to expect people to go to the centre isle or out of the stadium to get back in somehow, people have needs which sometimes doesn't co-inside with half time esspecially kids. In the end the door got left open which was fine but not ideal, this has happened for the last game as well and needs addressing please.

| 7 stewards operate the East Stand, all briefed to allow supporters to exit the stand whenever necessary. I have passed on your comments to the Managing Director of Key Security, so we can eliminate this issue with immediate effect

| And to sort out the idiot wakey fans who come and stand amongst the giants fans in the last few minutes, only the intervention of other fans and the giants fans unwillingness to be goaded into a fight prevented trouble today.
Oh and to the wakey fans who cant stand losing to us and tru and start fights outside, get a grip,if u dont like losing dont come! Its not the first time its happened either, sort it out wakey!

| Based on my comments last week I'm disappointed and saddened to hear your comments meast. I was not in that part of the ground so cannot testify to what you endured.
It is a shame that you felt uncomfortable and totally unacceptable. I apologise for any fans which have brought shame on Wakefield. I raised issue last week and feel that any mindless idiots who go to a match and look for trouble should be banned, FOR LIFE!!!
My sentiments but like you I love our game and want everyone to enjoy. In my view Huddersfield and fans of all other teams are most welcome to Belle Vue, I always.
I apologise for the mindless minority who yet again lead me to bow my head in shame. Most of our supporters are genuine, fair and love the support and love having you here. I hope that is also recognised.
David Longo, Martin Hopkins et al please take note. We love our club but don't want a minority to tarnish our reputation. PLEASE do something about this!

| My only gripe with the issue Meast has mentioned is the fact that the 2 stewards who were at the front of the terrace actually saw these guys come and heard them goading us and anyone with half a brain could have seen there was a potential powder keg sutuation happening but no one came up or sent someone else just to 'keep an eye' on the situation.
It could quite easily have blown up as they started with the racist chant at our group and that riled one of two people even more and had to be restrained.
Even the decent Wakey fans were telling these fools to get lost and stop causing trouble.
What is the point of having stewards if they are just going to stand and watch trouble brew.........this is becoming a regular occurence now for us and we almost expect it at Belle Vue now.

That's a slighly overblown reaction in my view - if a couple of idiots were spoiling for some bother, I don't think anyone needs to hang their heads in shame, apart from the people involved.
Once again - who was with them and knows exactly who they are and what happened, but chooses not to do anything about it?
This happens at every ground, every weekend, without fail; a few idiots have a few too many sherbets and can't contain their emotions - the test is how the club and the people around them deal with it.

Sorry to hear this. I stood amongst the Huddersfield fans and had some good conversation and banter. Shame the mindless few can't do the same. Totally agree with previous comment; ban for life. Please come back you're very welcome. Maybe one day we'll have a nice ground to accomodate you.

Hi Davide, can I also add to the comments above about the stewards? I was stood in the East Stand paddock. In the second half we swapped ends and stood at the north end of the paddock. Throughout the second half there were a fair few adults standing on the wall next to the pitch and lots of kids standing at the other side of the wall, on the grass behind the advertisement hoardings.
This meant that anyone stood in the paddock behind the adults had their view obscurred. I also wondered if folk being on the other side of the wall was against safety regulations. If not it doesn't strike me as safe anyway considering how often I've seen players land in the hoardings.
Throughout the second half as well there were stewards that were wandering up and down the paddock and stopped to look at the folk either on or at the other side of the wall, but didn't say anything. In previous years the stewards have made sure that no one does this sort of thing, even going as far as making sure kids don't sit on the wall in prematch or half time, which worked fine.
It was a little disappointing as two Huddersfield fans were stood next to us at the beginning of the half, but got a bit frustrated and had to move elsewhere because of the obscured view. It was also disappointing because I'd brought my girlfriend down to Belle Vue for the first time and her experience in the second half was marred slightly because she couldn't see what was going on a lot of the time.
Cheers!

| it happens every year at belel vue, without fail.
as soon as the game goes away from wakefield they appear by the bottle bar, not interested in the game one bit, only interested in trying to rile the giants fans, like i've said, luckily we aren't like that and dont rise otherwise there would be all hell on!
the stewards know whats going on but choose to ignore it as it's probably their mates that are doing it.
anyway i know 99.9% of wakefield fans, like any others are decent and fair minded and you shouldn't need to hang tany heads in shame, but i really do think WTW should do something before someone gets hurt.

| just to add to what bren2k says, yes every club has idiots who cant handle their ale etc, but it wasn't just a couple of idiots, it started off with 2 or 3 then turned into a dozen or so.
one particular lad who could do with a haircut and a shave was particularly vocal about the ethnic minorities living in huddersfield! as for the short lad with short ginger hair,i admire his vocabulary.
but seriously it really needs sorting out i know we dont all get along nicely but unless something is done its only going to get worse.
most of us who stand at the side do so because we always have done, and to enjoy a bit of banter with wakefield fans,i can see more people going behind the posts if it carries on

As I've said before, it happened at BV when we beat you last year; two old geezers who should've known better were stood in the middle of Wakey fans, gobbing off about how Wakey were going down, the stadium was a slum, we were bankrupt etc etc - they were clearly trying to get a rise and probably escaped any retaliation purely because they were too old to slap.
Every club has idiots - it's about time people starting dobbing them in.

| A lad I work with is a Trin fan & he told me that there's been instances of bother at a few games this season already. A Bulls fan apparrently got slotted for daring to celebrate his side scoring a try & last week someone was trying their best to start a scrap with a lad who had his children with him! Add to this what I've been told about yesterday & an unfavourable picture is beginning to build up.
I was at the match yesterday & mingled with the genuine Trin fans, no problem, good rugby league people. But the club itself has got to root out the minority of yobs & get shut quick smart so they don't spoil it for the rest of the true Trin fans.
And yes, all clubs have idiots who need slinging out, not just Trin.

| Meast and fartownfan you are correct. We need to show zero tolerance to this bad element (whether it be Wakefield or elsewhere). RL is prided on being a family game and all people should feel welcome.
If the situation is not dealt with quickly and with a firm hand then things can spiral. Glover has invested so much in turning the club around, if a holigan element develops then it will knock back all the hard work so far. I love my club and have for decades, however I will not put myself in a situation where I feel unsafe.
Lots of clubs have bad elements, I agree, Wakefield is just one of them. My pride and respect for fellow fans means that I despise the thought of trouble with my club. If David Longo, Martin Hopkins et al are not reading this and there are more instances then I will voice my concerns directly to Elston and Glover. Maybe the fans groups should raise this as a matter of priority.
It's a little ironic that there was an announcement on Sunday that people were found bringing their own drink into the ground then it would be confiscated and people could be ejected. Shame there was no mention of abusive or threatening behaviour not being tolerated.
Stewards are there to look after the safety of the fans at the match. If they stand idly by whilst people feel threatened then they are not doing their job.
Sort it out please.

I agree, this was threatening behaviour and we all need to come out full square in our condemnation of it.
