| Amor from the list above... I know he's young and not offically ours but this guys a leader. He's just got his first cap for Ireland and has just captained Cumbria v England Knights so he's got those qualities and can lead by example.
All these people saying Steve Southern.. Why exactly? I know he's conversing on twitter and sounding like a good bloke but he's telling the fans what they want to hear. Questions like "Would you want to help develop younger players" what is he supposed to say NO?! - Don't get me wrong i've chatted with him via twitter and sounds good bloke.
Yes he's expierenced and an aussie but is that all you need to be respected at our club?
He could be cack in SL.
I'll add in the mix Washbrook as an outsider.

| Will go for Tim Smith, because the extra responsibility might help him settle in and take charge more, and you want him to lead the team around the park and not turn into Jeremy Smith.

I'll go with the other side. I want him
Concentrating on creating chances rather than gg'ing the other players.

| I believe Kyle Amor would be the best choice , he is a player who leads from the front , not afraid to get stuck in & seems to be a popular player in the squad who would always be there to help his mates out ( going by his loan spell from last season ) Who can forget his celebrations with the fans when he scored the last minute try against Hull.
If chosen I am sure he would be a popular choice with players & fans alike.

| I've gone for Amor, he has shown (for Cumbria) that he can do it and as long as we can keep holdo of him he should be at the club for a long time yet. Him and Frankie are players we can (hopefully) build a squad around.

| I'd like an Englishman to captain the side, which rules out Amor.

| No rush on the captains decision Agar needs to get them all into training then you see over a few weeks who he thinks will lead the team. A captains decision cannot be rushed. You will see who the leader will be having spent time with them.

| Well I will own up to one of them!
Based on what we know (which may be a load of rubbish but it's all we've got just now), Steve seems to stand out as being extremely popular with team-mates; very professional in his attitude to the game (on and off the pitch) and a relentless worker in games.
Those appear to be the right ingredients for a captain, but I have not met many of the current squad and may be a million miles off the mark.
The other issue is what options we have?
Frankie Mariano - Too young and inexperienced,
Tim Smith - needs to concentrate on other issues
Isaac John - See FM above
Paul Johnson - See IJ above
Ali Lautiti - Not enough game time / needs to play a different role
Kyle Amor - See PJ above - but maybe less so
The other candidate to consider will be Andy Raleigh, but beyond that I can't think of one!

Southern has also helped coach junior sides back home
