| Steve Mac has added Rangi Chase to the England train-on squad, he qualifies on residency ground apparently. Does this mean that Cas can take him off their Quota now?

I'm not sure but i dont think it will make a difference as we have 2 open quota spots and will probably sticking to the rfl guideline of 5 again.

| Hmmmm, other nations do it (Aussies are bad for it) but I think we should take the high ground and select only English lads, even though Chase is head and shoulders better than what we've got.

| So maybe with a number of Antipodeans playing for England via the residence clause we may even win the Four Nations, or even the World Cup.
What a hollow victory that would be.

| Pathetic. He's played twice against England in the last 12 months. Strange how all of a sudden he wants to play for England now he may have Visa issues. Wasn't the case just 3 months ago.

| This is a joke - a kick in the teeth for the English lads who are in contention, based on a cynical attempt by Chase's legal team to strengthen his visa application.
International RL becomes more irrelevant as each year passes.

I know what you mean, but to be fair to him, he's probably spent more time in England than the Cas lad who went to Aus at the age of 2.

| Macnamara is turning England into a joke with all these decisions. Someone needs to tell him he ain't at Bradford anymore and the quota only applies to SL teams not international ones.

Absolutely shocking decision from Fatnamara

Yep its so different to Cricket, Athletics, Boxing, RFU, Wendyball The list is endless. Lets face it its because he plays for Cas thats the real issue and why nothing was said when Widdop was selected ?

Don't be crediting yourselves with too much importance, it has nothing to do with who he plays for. Feel exactly the same about Chris Heighington being in there. And to some extent Jack Reed, but at least he was born over here. Chase is a kiwi, end of and shouldn't be representing England. Couldn't care less what happens in other sports either. Oh and Widdop lived in Halifax til he was 16, he actually is English!

| Can anyone honestly say this suprises them. When i looked at this an just laughed, thought this is what sport in this country is ending up like. Such a slap in the face to youngsters like lomax and gaskell who i thought might be a chip in for the number six shirt. If years of watching quality players being played out of postion for england doesnt suprise you neither should this, the international scene is a pee take.

My personal favourite GB line up was (from about 2001 i think)
6. P. Sculthorpe
7. M. Forshaw (No really)
9. K. Sinfield
13. A. Farrell
