Following the "change in attitude" of the WE towards our club I have recently started to purchase it again.
Over the last few weeks I have become amazed by the amount of non stories they have been running.
Last weeks back page posed a question, this weeks suggests players we may be interested in from hull, both of these were hot topics on here. And comments after games from fans come largely from postings on this forum too.
I always had WE sports journalists down as a lazy feckless bunch, but I'm fairly sure most of what comes on here first ends up as a WE exclusive.

The internet and social networking in particular is a dream come true for newspaper proprietors; cut the staff in half and of those who are left, cut their expenses down by having them trawl the internet for stories instead of getting out there to do real journalism.

I give you phone hacking as exhibit A; all done from a desk and once in place, the stories write themselves.

The papers been crap for years, the filling space Leeds United page is further proof of this. In fairness, local newspapers will be extinct soon. Most only buy them for the deaths and reports from the courts.

Have they managed to crowbar a story of the former QEGS student and current union captain in?

They always have photo's of angry people with their arms crossed!

I sometimes read it for a laugh.

Slightly o/t about the quality of the paper. But on the site it says agar is in oz now with potential overseas signings in mind and linked with martin clawson as new conditioner
