| you reckon he would be worth going for, linked with widnes for next year. awsome player when playing for eel's and showed some class at wigan until he picked up couple of injuries. also looks like todd carney might get drop kicked out of rooster, such a waste of talent.

| Yeah definitely good hands, good kicking game, good organiser suppose it depends on wages and whether other clubs are interested really.

| be really pleased if we could sign someone of his calibre to marshall the team around. but i honestly reckon it will be are new coach choosing who we sign for such a vital postion as stand off. might be wrong though!

| think our game is a bit too quick for him. He struggled at wigan and didn't seem to be able to adapt to the speed of our game. I know people will either say there is no difference or little difference. I think there is only a small difference but enough to say he's always going to struggle. If you look at Brett Finch he struggled to start off with but seems to have kicked on and gets up to speed but Smith seemed to play at same pace throughout the season.

| Look absolutely woeful at Wigan. Given numerous chances and look well out of his depth. Previous to his time at the Warriors he looked a cracking player. However, you can't live on past glories. It's a big fat no from me

| Out of interest chaps where's the Widnes link? Was reading while back he fancied a return to SL, which I must admit I was surprised at.

| he showed some outstanding touches at Wigan ball in hand one of the best halves I have seen, and a great organiser. Defence was shocking some of the worst I have seen at SL level but I think that was more due to where his head was at the time.
In the current Wigan set up he would have been a revelation, undoubtedly a talented player but was allowed to drift like so many under Noble. In a strict environment he would be top class.

IMHO Tim smith is an just a halfback anad thats all. He has no running game and can be pedestrian at times. Wakey need to be prepared to lure a top class half back to the club who can play the game the way it needs to be played these days and that is with as capable a running game as their organistion skills. Have a look at all the HB in NRL, they are all runnibg halbacks who will take the line on, in Tim you have very little of that and cannot tackle.
Cheers All
