cant say im dissapointed to be honest he was nothing more than a bit part player in australia who has done ok since he came over here , but if we are going to be spending up or near to the cap next season i think we should set our sights a lot higher and try and sign a marquee scrum half which sammut although decent isnt in my opinion.

One step at a time Desmond, we cant turn into a expensivly assembled squad overnight. It will take time even though we have a licence to attract "top quality" names to our club. Sammut would have been considerably better than what we have at the moment but its not to be..........we move on!

Priority for me is coach, assistant coach, conditioner, immediate ground improvemnts, improved contacts for the current squad who we want to keep then focus on players that will improve our current squad. We will only attract better players when they see we are acting on our business plan that won us the licence!

We assume Herbert will be leaving because he is OOC. Sykes will now play at centre (all be it as back up hopefully) and Kearnery can now concentrate at playing at his prefered position of full back.

But that still leaves 4 . My guess would be Briggs either leaving or going out on loan somewhere.

Probably paving a way for the return of Ben Jeffries.

I hope not he was poor both times for us. I would rather have a poor English lad than him again for the 3rd time

Go get witt. Think id prefer him to sammut anyway, not that id not have liked him anyway. Think witt would be a better option seen as we lack an organiser rather than someone off the cuff

Good catch for Bradford and I imagine it signals the release of at least Briggs; he's probably worth a look.

IMO Sammut is not the kind of halfback we need ,we need a Brough,or a Dobson type ,a leader who can get us round the field , and win us some games.

Witt would be a great signing. Him and Moore at halfback is a good shout

with the rumours that are circulating he may still be a option.

You cant just say that.... fill us in a little more.
