Regardless of whether we're in SL or not, i think we should all take a moment to thank the team at WTW. It appears that our application was of the highest calibre and the staff worked round the clock to give us every hope for regaining a spot at the top.

Not so long ago we were talking about whether the club would exist. Let's stop all the bickering and be thankful we've still a club to support. We've do our upmost to regain a spot in SL and we all know we deserve to be in SL.

So let's take the decision, good or bad on the chin with some dignity knowing that we could do no more

I'd like to say a massive thank you and well done to everyone who is/has been connected with the club throughout our stay in SL what a fantastic journey it has been for a club/team that wasn't expected to win a game in that first season. If you'd have told anyone that we would spend 13 seasons in the top flight and not finish bottom/be relegated they'd have called for the men in white coats. So to all those that made it possible, owners, staff, players and supporters we should hold our heads high tomorrow knowing that we have been part of something very special.

But ultimately shafted by the bigwigs at the RFL.

Correct, Ted, Andy Kelly, John Kear and now Andrew Glover all facing down and often beating the opposition on and off the field. We really don't give ourselves any credit. Unlike Catalan and Hudds we never finished bottom only to be spared the drop. Unlike Salford, Cas and Widnes since gaining access to SL we have never been turfed out. Not bad for a club that arrived in SL with a few thousand fans and a team of nobodies.

It's not a great consolation I know but in years to come it might occasionally make a few hang their heads in shame though I doubt it

Its hard to believe we could go down especially with all the Help the RFL has given us (JOKE) at least Sky & the BBC have prepared us for the decision by trashing us at every opportunity.

We are a proud club with a great history that the media have done their best to take apart, on the whole I think we are stronger than ever, if we stay in SL we will be in great shape to compete at the highest level next season, if we go down we now have a stable platform to build on.
At least we can move on tomorrow and look forward to the future.

I have to say, reading the forums over the last couple of days, especially yours, I have a few goose bumps right now. The start of this thread in particular makes me as a fan of a more 'privelaged club' for want of a better phrase, really feel for you guys. Fingers crossed for you and I hope that tomorrow brings you the decision you lot deserve. Come on WAKEY!!

Been some great memories! Enjoyed the ride. Looks like it will come to an end after this season but will look forward to next season, some cracking away days. Let's hope the fans will stick with the club. Wakefield and proud of it

Sorry but I don't agree. If we do stay up, then next year will be like this year we will struggle cos we will only have a choice of the players other clubs don't want.

Not at all. This is because players cant officially sign for clubs until the 1st of September so even if they have agreed deals with other clubs we could still sign them.

Good luck for tomorrow guys, with a lot of what has been said in the media over the last few weeks plus the financial difficulties and stadia issues surrounding Wakefield - it kind of got set in my mind that it would be Wakey to loose out. That being said John Kear and Jonathan Davies' comments after Saturdays game really made sense and flipped the coin. Hopefully there is a bit of sense at the RFL.
