As it seems kear considers himself a superleague coach and we look to be favourites to lose our licence it's seems we will be without a coach for next season. Anybody reckon the club are actively seeking out a replacement. If so who's is available? Or are the club waiting til next Tuesday before making their minds up who is to succeed. Thoughts !!

If we lost our licence and John Kear were to leave, I wouldn't be disappointed to see Tony Dury given a shot as head coach.

Think we've been down that route too many times before. We need a proper coach regardless of which division we are in not just a cheap appointment from within.

Either way, you'd imagine Kear won't be Head Coach. That's not to say he won't still be involved with the club, but i think we need a change and a coach on the cutting edge of the game.

Reckon kear made his intentions clear when he threw his name at the cas job. Surely the club should be looking now

TBF Dury is a proper Coach as far as I'm aware. He hasn't coached above Academy level but neither had Kear up until taking Paris then Sheffield. He would effectively be taking his existing players onto Championship level which is not a massive step up. If we retained SL and Kear left then yes I think it would be a step to far at this point for him where as IMO Championship is about right. Biggest issue is would he actually want the job.

You mean someone like Warren Jowitt for instance ?

Tony Drury would be my choice even if we stay in SL, I think he has a lot to offer,we need a coach with fresh ideas who can command the respect of the players.
If JK were to leave I would give Tony a go.
