Following the meeting last week. Does anybody know how many members we've got towards the 1873 target.
Although some people were disgruntled, there seemed to be pleanty of takers.

Why should anyone be disgruntled when Wakefield want to stay in Super League. A team that will be getting 500 000 thou extra revenue a year. Stops us from being a selling club etc. Mr Glover had to announce this scheme on a big stage if not people would not have taken notice Wednesday was a big stage fair play to him. I am actually excited by this scheme hopefully we will get plenty more than the actual target. Everyone wants Wakefield to start going places again and with Mr Glover at the helm I think anything is possible. Get down to the shop this week with your forms people !!!!!

I agree, but there were 4 blokes on our table that didnt even wait for the second half of the presentation, they just left.
Cant believe it either, were talking about 2 quid and trying to stay in SL.
Time to support the club and move forward.

I presume they have, but has the club gone round local employers, wakey council etc, looking to sign up people?
This is not just for people who support Wakey or RL, its for people who fancy winning some dosh.
Look at how many people do/did the irish lottery, a better chance of winning a decent wedge, but they didnt have to show a green passport to do so.
I know a guy during the presentation got a round of applause for getting 500 signed up, maybe thats what he did???

Every amature RL club in the district should be encouraged to promote this, the youngsters involved will hopefully be the long term beneficiary's of the 1873 club.

Yes get work mates/family/friends to join they do not have to watch rubgy, but it would be good if they did....

I've just joined now, i was disapointed with how the meeting was oversold (IMO) and did leave before the second announcement as i was kn*ckered after a long day (and disappointed) but ultimately the scheme is good for the club regardless of whether we are in Sl or not and therefore i'll support it and hope we can make a succes of it (which should IMO encourage the scheme to offer other prizes such as hospitality packages etc).

Yes imo they got it the wrong way round.

I am still waiting for the club to ring me so I can pass on my bank details.
