Understand that there has been some problems with car parking spaces. It is important that all disabled fans who need a parking space get one. Easy to solve : all staff including players, caoches, directors, owners etc should not park at the club. They have to arrive well before the game starts so they can easily walk from say Joseph Rhodes, The Stoneleigh or wherever, there is no reason why they need to park at the club on match days. Disabled fans, home and away should have priority.

Disabled fans are able to book a space i think.

Think there are more disabled fans requiring car parking spaces than has been allocated. We know BV is not fit for purpose, the least we can do is ensure that every disabled fan who wants a space gets one. So we need imaginative management to ensure that disabled fans are catered for. Think outsidethe box. I would bet any ammount that if our players, staff, owner, directors etc were asked to give up their car park space if they knew it meant a disabled fan was going to have a better match day experience, they would in a second

Likewise when Sky or the RL come to town we need to tell them that they have to park at The Stoneleigh or some such other place that is convenient for an able bodied fan.

Agreed, the Pineapple Inn has shut down on the common and the car park is always empty, they could park on there and then jog down to the ground.

Not the players though you just know that's just asking for trouble...

good luck with the meeting, after tonight's chat I can't see why they shouldn't listen to you.

we all know how difficult the change over has been but now is the time to listen to what is just being suggested not demanded, we are all supporters of the club not limpets clinking on for financial gain and just want to see the club back on track.

Cheers Mutley, yes I'm sure we will be able to sort this. It's led to a lot of frustration, but I beleive there is a very simple solution to the problem.

On the topic of parking I used to park on the retail park by the cinema but they are clamping down (fines) on folk parking up and walking into town etc. I'm not sure if they are policing it sunday but I was stung for £60 at Valley Parade once at the nearby retail park.

Good to hear, great minds think alike. Lets be a flagship club when it comes to looking after disabled fans. Apart from it just being a good worthwhile thing to do, it must also look well on any SL application.

Unfortunately I have had to cancel my meeting with Davide, due to unforseen circumstances.

In lieu of this I have sent a proposal to Davide by email, which should resolve the issue once and for all.

I will let you know the club's response to this.

I think it is great that staff have given up their places for the disabled parking. I think that should be sent to the press as a very poistive view of the club admin now.
However that can't be the best long term option.

The staff have been doing that for years ... and before someone asks, yes the much villified Richardsons parked elsewhere on matchdays.
