| Our first chance to get off the bottom of the table next week.
Cas top of the table; Wakey bottom.
It's hard to tell which set of fans is the happier; but I think I know.

depends where you come from and who you support.the fact we are top and have players such has hudson, mcgoldrick, snitch, isa, fozzard and richie owen all sat in the stand shows we have the strength in depth to trouble the top 6.

How come most Cas fans slate McGoldrick because they think he's not good enough and want rid of him, but when it suits their argument whether it be when defending the club or praising it as you seem to be on this occasion he's always good enough to be on the team sheet? also according to your fans, your club have taken a punt on a young kid called Isa so how come he is all of a sudden an integral part of your team.

| I seem to remember that we were top of the table at this point last season. It's a long hard season and many things can change due to injuries, loss of players due to unforseen circumstances etc.So it may be premature for any clubs to start bragging or moaning.

| Been very pleased in what I've seen so far this season, we seem to be giving the ball more air and with 3 players gone who in 'my eyes' only seem to be involved in the game up to 10 minutes per match it might be more of a team effort. Just like to see a big unit in the forwards come (back?) in and ignite a bit more passion in that department.

A timely and pertinent point for both sets of fans.
All the same well done Wakey, that was a great effort last night.

Yep it can all change very quickly and only a fool does not learn from the past.
Thanks Shameless.

| If results go as expected (KR and Wigan wins today, and then next week Saints beat Wire, Crusaders beat Bulls, KR beat Dragons, and Hudds beat Hull), we are in 10th if we beat Salford.
A lot of what ifs, but still good.

| Too many Ifs for me, let's not put any pressure on these young lads, it will have taken a lot out of them last night.

In one respect you are right, but I think it is an excellent motivator if they can get to 5pm next Sunday with a win, then we are entitled to draw a line under the winter and say that the season starts here, because from then on it's a level playing field, and it would be great to do it from somewhere other than bottom.
I liked what I saw last night. The players looked enthusiastic and young, and it had the feel of 2007, when we took on a few lower league players and misfits and did well. Kevin Penny will be the interesting factor for the year. Scored a great try, one that maybe only he could have scored, but looked iffy a couple of times in defence. Provided that for every two tries he lets in, he scores three, he should have a good year. He could do with a good couple of defensive games maybe, because I expect his confidence is low.

| Think the try will have given him a real confidenve boost. He created it out of nothing and though the Catalans defence was poor, he literally created that out of nothing, lovely step to get past Henderson and then once he was in the open space there was only ever going to be one winner in the race to the line. Mariano showed great pace too for his first try and the ball steal was very smart play. George looks a lot more confident in himself and has kept up his remarkable scoring record, completed 2 full games now which is a boost as I've often thought of him as a bit soft. Last night will have given the squad and the club as a whole a massive boost and JK has just said on the radio that we're looking to strengthen the squad further in coming weeks so things definitely are looking a whole lot rosier.

| Yes, I think we were still top last year after 4 games.
From what I saw of the highlights last night,I thought Hyde had a good game, as well as Dean and Mariano, who looks a good prospect. I enjoyed the try at the start of the second half, that Dean scored in the corner, went through lots of hands with some quick sharp passing, leading to the score, very unwakey like, hopefully a sign of what's to come this season.
