Thanks a lot to the Richardsons, the administrators and the RFL for all their help towards this.

stop blaming the rfl, the council, newmarket, box, administrators. the one cause of all this is lord ted. if like he says he bailed the club out several times then to me it says he couldnt run it right. the old bod are a disgrace

| I agree it is down to ted however the rfl could have signed over the new ownership earlier to give us a fighting chance

Damn right.
The club spent money it didn't have because they weren't able to attract the number of supporters, sponsors and investors to keep a Super League club going.
Why they couldn't do that would be an interesting answer but we'd barely moved forward from having Angela on the front page of the Express to plug a match 10 years ago to the 'marketing' we have today. Thinking we're doing it right by just having posters in chippies and leaving it at that didn't help.
Neither did over a decade of the 'woe is me' culture that Caisley and Lindsay and Heatherington and the French and the Welsh and Lewis and Wood and everyone else is against us so how can we do anything…
Too many enjoyed the gravy train, too many enjoyed the ride, too many got too close. The ones who don't deserve another job won't get one as their records will speak for themselves. Don't cry for them.
The club got itself into this mess. Tough.

I agree, we're all quick to blame others, but the buck stops with Ted and the BOD's who have got us inot this mess. There are other factors which compound the mess but the foundations lay at the hands of WTW!

| what are the rules on trading while insolvent ? reckon that in selling season tickets post the newmarket call in is probably what we(they) were doing. It was obvious to us on the outside looking in the club was bust - those on the inside should have had the spuds to put the club into admin the day of the newmarket decision in the knowledge that the needed cashflow wasnt going to materialise. But no - we will have one last throw of the dice (the sharescheme). Mismanagement to the (very) bitter end.
My mates were up for sponsoring a couple of players...and did a deal with elston... however they were bright enough to see the writing on the wall... (the cheques still in the post james..)

The Club were selling false promises knowing qiute well they would not be obliged to honour there contract when we went into admin, how can you possibly offer fans seat's at a ground that does not or maybe will never exist ?, i feel for fans who have lost money, and fans who have shelled out hard earned cash on Season tickets, the only way Wakefield are going to get cash paying fans through the turnstiles is to drop the gate admission or reduce season passes to £100 or so, i know it's crap on them fans who have paid full whack, otherwise we are looking at attendances worse than Quins 1,500-2,000 tops.....

100% spot on.
Everyones anger and dismay should be directed at Ted and his cronies.
To those who constantly told us Ted was doing his best for the club -- i would find that hard to believe.
All the years of stories of potential investors put off by Ted(because Ted didnt think they had the best intentions for the club),we can all now see why they were put off.Quite simply Ted dreaded the day the cupboard was opened and the skeletons popped out!!!!

| Its been well know for years you dont do business with Ted and co. Members of my own family have been asked to contribute. but they didnt, not for lack of love towards trin, because in all likelyhood it was propping up something else outside the club. As for a person who cared about Trin, had a drink with nigel bell and he said he asked trin for a season ticket for himself and Ted's reply was, 'where not a charity nigel'. say no more
