| Maybe now is the time to lobby the RFL as rugby league would be noting without the fans and we are the only ones the they never consult, its OK being in conultation wth chairman that are unable to go forward without thinking of the impact it will have on his families finances, (who could I be talking about) they are killing our game and our city.

| Whilst I agree with your sentiment I can't see what lobbying the RFL would achieve. Our problems are of our own making. I know Crusaders have got better treatment in a similar situation, but they were always going to prop up one of their expansion teams.
A few years ago there was an advert on TV that showed a bloke coming out of a casino, obviously skint. The slogan that went with it was [iThis is Wakefield, together we are skint[/i

saying that the supporters trust is an initial start in getting all the fans pulling together in the same direction

A pointless exercise; the RFL aren't killing the club, the wounds are mostly self inflicted and it's about time we started accepting that.

Fill your boots mate, sadly its not the RFL's fault, they imo are not doing the game any favours but i can't blame them for the state we are in.

| Right, to my understanding, you fans have to give Richardson 500k just to step down? your club still has many debts besides this and still needs a lot of investment... where is that money gonna come from? you've already scraped together to get 500k.
So assuming thats correct... it'd be cheaper to start again in the Championships and Ted Richardson gets none of your money, I wouldn't give him a penny.

| If, as an observer, I understand it right - fans with some spare dosh (!) are being asked to raise £1/2m which - if raised - will go into club funds as new share capital to alleviate the current crisis, and at the same time enable Richardson to bog off out of it never to return as he has agreed to do?
Is that right?
My missus stopped going to games because she was fed up with the off-field cräp dominating everything and spoiling the game. I suspect a load of Wakey fans could empathise with that?

| The RFL are not helping but we need to get our own house in order before we can have a go at others.
Those in glass houses should not throw stones springs to mind.

| Can someone please explain how a Supporters Trust in pulling the fans together will actually help the club, when the reality is it will not. May I remind you that at present approx 10 to 14 fans have commited to the £1000 out of the 500 asked for by the club.
The reality is that the club needs fresh investment on a large scale and that will not come from a supporters trust or the majority of fans, well intentioned as it may be, it will have no impact on the club in its current state.

The idea was to help fans and the club work together for the good of all, things have changed since this began, it could in part bring together the majority of fans in the future.
We could get a new investor who would work with the trust, if not we run the risk of this happening again in the future.

| As Al said, since the idea of forming a ST was first mooted and the early meetings were held much has changed.
The supporters meeting tonight will help to clarify the reasoning behind the formation of a ST and what it would strive to achieve.
