And of course renting at Glasshoughton would make us so much better off as I am sure Castleford would allow us to keep all the bar income, hospitality, car parking.
Anybody else suspicious like me that Richard Wright is using the journos to try and get us onboard with them to help them find the funds they need. Perhaps I'm just a cynic!!

I don't think so it looks to me more of a outsider looing in and the common sense option is stairing him in the face.

The main question is will your board be big enoungh to admit this is the correct action to take, as a move to Barnsley would be basically cutting off the nose to spite the face. Anyway only time will tell but once again congratualations on a great piece of journalism
I guess you like the idea of a merged club - playing in Cas! No surprise there then!

I dont know about that, I think if a poll was taken a majority of Cas fans would have no problem with you shareing at GH. But if the boot were on the other foot deffinatly no share at Newmarket but thankfully (from a cas point of view) that's off the table for a couple of years at least.

| Rent at Castleford or rent at Barnsley. No brainer, particularly as GH probably won't be ready for 2012.
Tigerman1: you defeat your own argument when you say you wouldn't share at Newmarket, because you recommend that Wakey do what you won't do, and that is share at the opposing teams ground.

| DON'T BUY INTO THIS - WE ARE BEING DUPED!
I was coming around to the idea of sharing the GH stadium, so I thought I would go and have a look at it - IT DOESN'T EXIST!!!!!
Nor will it do in any timeframe that will affect the next round of franchising decisions. It seems, according to popular opinion, to be a choice between Barnsley and a spoil heap in Cas.
Let me think...

I never said it was the correct co of action for the supporters but as far as the club goes it has to be a no brainer. And as far as it not existing if both clubs pulled together for a few months after christmas it would be done intime for mid 2012 i rekon, so come on wakey do it, you know you want to

| I think he makes some fair points from an outsiders perspective but thats the point he has no emotional ties to either club whereas us fans do.
I for one understand wakey fans reluctance to come to gh and to be fair i dont particularly want them there either.
An equal partnership from the start could of been workable for both clubs but as its so one side with regards location and financial input gh can never be a shared stadium without wakey being the cuckoo in the nest.

I can categorically state that this is not true. Cas' would not have WTW playing at their ground - not until they realised that there would not be enough funding without them. NM was available to all parties before any details had even been published and remained as such until this autumn, when both clubs decided to go it alone.
This is not a judgement on Cas' reasons, just how it was.
