| I was reading earlier about non other than Buffalo Bill and his troope performing at BV just over 100 years ago. I can also remember the American Football played there and we know that cycling and athletics have featured along with various concerts and the like. I especially like the idea of the fancy dress football (rubgy to us) which was played there.
Just wondered what anyone felt would be appropriate which would be a fun event that would attract a decent crowd at say the Gala Day?
Just thought that if it's planned early enough, then there is more chance to make it work. Over to you.....

Those nob rots from the RFL and a lot of manky tomatoes would pull a decent crowd, fans from most clubs would attend.

My Dad says he saw Baseball played on Belle Vue before the War. I think our team was the Wakefield Cubs but never caught on. Before any comments its not like rounders, its a great game to see at the top level in the States as I'm sure Slugger will testify - Go Red Sox.

| In the spirit of nurturing the next generation of fans, I asked my son this question; he said a BMX display team and some street dancers.
Naturally, I clipped him round the lug and told him to bugger off.

I agree. Seen the Red Sox play at quite a few stadiums, and there are not many better ways to spend a sunny afternoon or evening than drinking beer and watching a ballgame (I discount Detroit in that, because it is a complete hole. It felt abandoned).
As for a final hurrah, a veterans game between stars of the past. Wakey past against GB past.
