| I wish there were such a thing as a real "Wakefield Borough Council", serving the old borough of Wakefield and not the backwaters beyond...

| Look, Agar is shooting from the hip and does acknowledge that he does not really know the details, but the idea of re-locating the RFL to a new stadium development in Yorkshire is a bloody great idea! Whether it be Newmarket, Glasshoughton or a shared stadium at either location, making the RFL more visible and accessible to fans by basing them at a sporting development that many people will visit anyway. as opposed to them being in the bloody sticks at the wrong side (geographically speaking) of Leeds sounds ideal.
The current community stadium model and proposal shown for Newmarket would be great (not choosing one over the other, just the basis of the current proposals for each venue) and you could them have a proper permanent training base for England/GB RL and other representative sides.

If the RFL were to move into a stadium base I would've thought the new Salford stadium would be the best option.

Yes possibly, but I don't think they will want to move that far from the current location.

The Newmarket develoment would have some great training facilities built if it got the go ahead, with the full size indoor pitch and outdoor pitch as well as the gym etc.Newmarket does have the whole package in terms of what is needed in Pro sport.I don't think nobody on the Trinity side would be against letting the RFL build some offices next to the stadium and base itself out of there
