I have noticed on several threads players being highlighted for some stick, and IMHO most if not all is deserved, with one massive exception, JD.

I know he is over the hill, struggles with skill levels, but he gives more than any player I have seen in a Wakey shirt for many a year.

I could not be more cheesed off than I am at this time with that team, club, swag, stadium, Box, the RFL, and most other things with the club, but I do recognise effort.

I hope that this his last season after all the time and effort he has put in is not remembered for what he as done for us, and not for all bull S*** we have been fed by all and I mean ALL parties involved in the stadiums and running of the club.

Very happy with the JD in the last two outings, the errors are out of his game and he seems to be hitting the line with renewed purpose. The promising set moves with Cooke seemed to have gone out of the window though. I think it was worth polishing them up.

IMO JD has got better as the season has gone on - with a lot of players going in the other direction. He seems to have cut out the mistakes that he was making. In fact it's a shame we can't let him finish his career at the club. I still think he has something to offer if he's used in spells.

Yes he makes mistakes, like Solomona, but with JD I dont mind the errors, I dont mind him having a bad game, but all you want as a wakefield fan is for the players to go out and give their all, we dont expect to win SL, but we demand effort, and he gives more than anyone, period.

JD worked hard yesterday and looked as fustrated as we did at the end, he is, and always as been a great servant to the club

Think it is a BIG mistake letting jd go and wuold use him in 2 twenty minute spells.I would much rather do this than let him go as he would give his all for the last 12 months he was here.What will we do,sign another aussie for 12 months on probably bigger money than jd who comes for the money and doesn't give a poop about the club.JD has trin running through his veins,he is a player in a minority, he is LOYAL.

JD wasn't one of the worst performers yesterday IMHO, we have bigger issue's to solve. Also seem to think he defended on the left most of the time which was ok tbf.

So do we all on here, doesn't mean we get a contract. Giving him one would be based on sentiment, I'm sorry to say. For once, the club has put head over heart -how many players have been given one contract too many?

(Loyalty is over-rated, if a player is offered a better deal at a better club, they'd be a fool not to take it, and I wouldn't blame them for not 'being loyal')
