| Sorry to sound amateurish, but this is a first post.
After years of following Wakey and years of following this forum for news and updates ( live in the midlands tragically ) Fridays "showing" finally prompted me to ask :
Is Paul Cooke not better suited to Loose Forward ? We seemed to slow down every time the ball went into his hands and as a result the ball ambled along the line, thus not stretching their sliding defence or creating gaps.
With Morrison out this might be the time to try him at 13 and at the very least we'd have three ball handlers on the field with obst and bj at 6 and 7 and latu at 9 making some go forward which I thought he did reasonably on Friday ?
Or is Cooke's defence not strong enough to make that viable ?

First of all; welcome to the forum
Secondly I too also believe cooke is better suited to loose forward where he perhaps he would stand nearer the flanks thus him being able to put players into gaps rather than create the gaps from the middle of which obst and bj can do.
I think cooke's defence is strong enough to make him playing at loose viable.
For what its worth next week i'd have Jeffries, Obst, Davey, Cooke (6,7,9,13) with Latu on the bench coming on where ever need.

| Didn’t we try Cooke at loose forward against Crusaders?
I’ll give him more time to settle in but the more I see of him the less convinced I am that he was the right signing. No doubt a very talented player in the past, but struggling to make any kind of impact at Wakefield.

| I think we'll see whatever Cooke has left to offer in the last 6 games of the season.

| Never was brilliant never had a brilliant defence, I think his defence atm is not terrible merely adequate for him to be able to play at loose.

| Didn't he play well in the second half against Cas on Good Friday - or was that just a figment of my imagination?

| Ehem
what is the difference between Paul Cooke and a man who has had constipation but is now smiling as he is a position to rectify that situation?
