| With all the excitement surrounding the new stadium announcement and the momentum built up by all concerned with the new Stanley development it's easy to forget that will be leaving the old girl behind after 134 years.
We've got some fantastic memories of our time spent on the pitch, on the terraces or in the bar. Time spent, in one capacity or another, with work colleagues, friends, teammates and family.
If all goes well and the new stadium comes off we've probably only got two years left in our spiritual home!
A quick search around popular video sites reveals that there isn't much footage of Belle Vue or more specifically video of a fan's perspective on the terraces.
What I'm proposing is that as many of us as possible try to document our last two years, in our own personal way, using camera phones or videos. Let's try and capture the essence of being a Wakefield Trinity fan travelling to games in limousines and Humvees, on foot, by car, coach or bus, drinking with mates in the pub, queueing at the turnstiles, supporting the team on the terraces and celebrating our win or debating a loss on the way home and in the local.
Put your footage on some video websites so that future fans can see what it was like as a fan at the old stadium.

| I would just like to say what a fantastic suggestions and just to add to the post, Wakefield Wildcats Community Trust has just received a substantial grant from Heritage Lottery Fund for a project entitled Belle Vue Stadium 'Booked and Boxed' which will be an oral history project with the outcome being a DVD displaying past and present footage, interviews with past/present players, supporters new and old, businesses, soundbytes, pictures, information etc. We plan to map the club and stadiums history so when the day comes to move on we will have all the information that can be viewed and used in schools across the district. (Press Release to follow in Jan 2010)
We will also be collecting memorabilia and objects of interest with a final resting place for all the information and items to be exhibited at the new stadium.
I am expecting lots of people to be excited by this news and workshops will be set up allowing everybody from Wakefield to support this project.

| I kept a scrapbook for the 1998 season, it has a match report from every game that season from the wakey express and League Express including a big poster for the grand final. I dont why I started doing one that year, because I hadnt done one before...

| Although there is only one video clip from Belle Vue (from the 1920's - and, scarily, still recognisable), the Pathe News website is fantastic for clips.
If you go to rlhttps://www.britishpathe.com/rl and put in "rugby league Wakefield" into the search bar, you will find a few clips, including match reports from the Wembley finals and a fantastic clip from a 1920's Yorkshire Cup Final with a real plummy commentary.
If you type in just "rugby league", you will find some great stuff. The report from the 1962 Ashes tour down under shows Neil Fox kicking a goal and a great Aussie try.
(note to Mods: I know you don't like video sites, but the copyright holder is the broadcaster in this instance, so should be okay)
