| Has anyone heard anything definite about our game with the Dragons on 19th June 2010 as to whether its to be played in Perpignan or Montpellier.
I'm eager to book flights and accommodation but can't until I know where the game is being played.

| If you want mt advice book it now.
It will be easier to travel to montpelier if you have to than to try to get flights later and probably cheaper.
I doubt you will get a definitive answer until all the cheap flights are gone.

The idea of Montpelier has been scrapped. I got that info from the Catalantours operators, the ones that organise the hotels in Perpignan, Dave Foti's company. So we have booked for the Perpignan match, staying in Canet for a week.

| I asked someone at Wakey last Thurs and the venue had not been decided at that point. Remembering the first time we went over when the game was supposed to be in Narbonne but was the Perpignan I would prefer to wait till definite decision made.

Stayed this year at the Citea. Well located in the centre close to the Castillet and not pricey.

| Chatting with David from CST on the way back to the airport this year, he said they had pulled out of using the Citea due to some problems they'd had.
To be fair to the hotel, it seemed that the problems were more to do with the timing of guests arriving or leaving, as they are like self-catering apartments, and so anyone arriving later in the evening were struggling to get in (from memory).
Maybe it depends on your arrival time, because I know the people who stayed there this year spoke very highly of it.

I can't remember the name of the place I stayed at, except that it was where the refs used to stay and was 150 euros a night (it was the only place I could find). It was nice, but overpriced. I stayed at The New Kristina last year, which is dated but okay, but the first two years I stayed at The Ibis, which was probably the best value for money and handy for everything.

Was it the Kyriad ?
The Citea is a new apart/hotel and I think some of the problems were due to teathing problems experienced by some when it was just finished. You can only speak as you find and I thought it was fine as did everyone who I know stayed there. I spoke with David Foti also and told him that I found the Citea okay.
I have also stayed at the Park Hotel which is a Best Western and a 3* but again I found it a bit dated.
As you will recall I also have stayed at the Mas des Arcades which is very good and has a pool. Would not hesitate to stay there if it was nearer the centre but its too far to walk particularly after the odd pint and taxi's aren't cheap after midnight.
Thinking of staying in Canet next June. Anyone any recommendations for there ? What's the Malibu Village like ?

Yes, that's it. Paid 10 euros for the breakfast on the Sunday, and I realised that there are only so many rolls and jam you can eat to try and get your money's worth.
