I don't care if we win, lose or draw as long as the team gives 100% every week and each player wears the shirt with pride.:

Looks to be shaping up nicely with a mixture of youth and experience and decent cover within the squad in key positions.

Fullback:

- Blaymire

Wing:

- Blanch, George, Murphy, Morton

:

- Millard, Gleeson, Demetriou, Henderson

Halfbacks:

- Brough, Jeffries, Obst, Southernwood

Props:

- Tronc, Stosic, Korkidas, Moore, Bibb

Hookers:

- Newton, Latu, Obst

Back Row:

- Morrison, Demetriou, Ferguson, Henderson, Winterstein (?)

The backbone of the squad looks strong and with the additional youngsters to add plus 1/2 more senior players I for one am very excited about our chances next season already.

The only slight concerns/questions I'd have now are:-

1 - What happens if Blaymire gets injured? Who'd go to FB? One of the academy lads or Murphy?

2 - Centre/Back Row cover - maybe one more required - The potential signing of Paul Johnson would be ideal to cover both.

3 - If Bibb moves on then another prop would be required. Thackeray maybe? Another ideal Kear project player to add real competition to what we have.

4 - Where's our annual PROJECT player ? icon_smile.gif

I think we've assembled a really good squad and credit where credit is due to all associated with the club for doing so.

Onwards and upwards 2010 & beyond icon_biggrin.gif

Millards played at full back, maybe thats the answer.

Paul Johnson would be ideal to cover, S/R centre.

Yes we need another prop IMO.

Agree with the prop statement.

Bibb doesn't do it for me and I don't think his heart is at Wakefield hence him looking to return to Hull with his loan stint at HKR at the end of the season.

Boyle, Thackeray or an up and coming NFP 1 prop would be ideal to replace him if possible.

I think Paul Johnson would be a good cover signing if we can keep him fit.

I also like Danny Tickle. Seems unclear where he is heading but I think he's a very underrated player who would fit in very well at Wakefield. Unlikely we'll be able to snare him but I would have said the same about Millard, Morrison and Tronc not so long ago so who knows.

We're certainly alot weaker in terms of squad depth (excluding the possible new signings) but if it helps to bring along these youngsters who should get some game time then i'm all for it

Danny Tickle, Thackray and a centre and we push for the top 4 if only we had more money

Squad still looking good and great to see the kids coming through again

I'd not want Thackary, i don't see what he would bring to us. Maybe it's just me but barring conversions i don't see what all the fuss is about Tickle.

We won't get Tickle. Hull won't want to let him go and others would want him anyway.

PJ will be good addition, then a young prop from lower team and I'll be happy.

Thackray would be a good addition on a 1 year deal. Make him earn a longer deal like he did with Kear the first time round at Hull. Paul Johnson and a full back would round the squad off nicely.

...and soft as $hit at in the halves, mentioning no names...ben jeffries...! im still of the opinion hes the most timid and softest aussie to come over here...

hopefully 2010 will be when he silences all his critics !!!!

otherwise, the onus will be on broughy again!

personally, id have had obst and brough in the halves, latu and newton at hooker and bought in a big packman or another decent 3/4

Do not get me wrong I like Henderson but a centre he ain't. Still remember running at an acre of space in the second of last seasons CC semi final when moved there in the second half. He did not have a clue. leave him in the pack he does a good job.

Tend to agree but worst case he could go their if required.

I am looking forward to knowing when the other signings will be confirmed now.

If Latu begins the season how he finished, he'd be the first name on the team sheet IMO.
