| I see in Stevo's article in the LE that a few cars were damaged on Saturday.Where I park the local plod were putting tickets on cars parked near or on juctions (not on main roads but on the back streets)But I suppose thats easy just walking round and giving people tickets.

| so it's the police's fault that some cars were damaged ? If the police are elsewhere when the scroatbags are doing the damage and no one bothers to ring in and report them committing the damage what are they supposed to do ?
Plus, it was probably PCSO's putting the tickets on the cars rather than officers.

Did I blame the police ????
It may have been PCSO's but the tickets have the same results (A FINE) What a kick in the teeth it would be having your car damaged and a fine to finish it off.

It was this bit that made it sound like you were saying the police would rather give tickets out than anything else.
and yes, the end result of a ticket is the same regardless of who gives it, so the moral of that story is, don't park near a junction and you won't get a ticket !
With regards to the damage, it is awful and I would hate it to have been my car, but unfortunately, this is the society we now live in where some people have no regard for other peoples property.

| Tickets have nothing to do with the Police or PCSOs. They are given out by people called traffic wardens and they work for Wakefield Council.

Wrong!! Wardens can give out tickets if you haven't displayed the correct parking ticket or permit. The PCSO's/Police can give out tickets (fixed penalty notice) for various reasons such as blocking the path, etc or even as posted above and parking too close to a junction.

| A lot of cars belonging to both sets of fans got tickets - issued by plastic plod, the PCSO's, well done to them on a great money raising exercise! The majority of these vehicles were not blocking access or parking across junctions & were not in restricted parking zones...
I.R.O. damage to cars, there were a number of Rovers supporter's vehicles damaged & abuse etc directed at Rovers supporters who on the most part, were families with young children. Whilst this is upsetting & no one can accept this type of behaviour & actions, I fully realise that this sort of thing can & unfortunately does happen, it is (thankfully in our great sport of Rugby League), a minority who do this & is no way a reflection on whoevers club these sort of morons are supposedly supporting.
With this in mind, I am NOT having a dig at Wakefield fans as usually we all have a great time, great banter etc whether it is at games between our great clubs or at Magic weekend or Challenge Cup final - all clubs whether it be ourselves at Hull KR or anyone else, Leeds, Hull FC, Warrington etc, have their bad element which cause trouble & can give the respective clubs a bad name - all I am saying to (albeit very few) fans on an earlier thread on your forum who said that Hull KR fans are a 'Disgrace to rugby' is those in glasshouses should not throw stones.
Unfortunately for all clubs, trouble making fans are a problem & perhaps the best way to put a stop to them is for their own fans, if they know them (as if they'd want to admit to it), is shop them to the respective authority whether that be the club etc!
Now I've got that off my chest, all the best to Wakefield in the playoffs, I have a feeling you'll do pretty well... Would love to think Rovers could get to GF but .... Aslong as it isn't Whinos v Stains final again, as a rugby fan I'll be happy...

1. Any idea where they were parked?
2. Was the damage after the game or during the game ?
The trouble is that not only is our ground below par it is also located in a bad area of our City. We need to move on and get to Stanley ASAP.

| Steady now, BV aint half as bad as your lupsets, Bellas or Eastmoors of this world
Still it is disturbing, interesting to see where they parked. Something that has blighted us round here though is definitely the parking spaces (or lack thereof.)

First bit if someone was not committing an offence as you state then dont pay the fine and go to Court to argue the fact, its illegal to park on a junction
Perhaps if those not committing offences had respected the law that Officers could have been patroling in the area of the damage and wither prevented it or detected them, sadly they cant do right for doing wrong at least they have been visible.
