Catalans have named Bird in their 19.

Will be interesting to see how JK pays this, just glad we have a couple back.

At a guess I'd say Murphy will be one, and then it would depend on whether JK wants a replacement hooker or four big forwards, knowing the size of Catalans it might be the latter, although not having a spare hooker could cause us problems if we hit the same problem as last week, and Davey did himself no harm when he came on.

As a possible solution to the two retuning players becoming fatigued, is there any credence to alternating Brough and Latu at hooker with JD at 6/7, Henderson in the second row with Ferguson moving to Loose.

Assume Murphy may be in squad as cover for Halley, so will probably drop out.

Is it worth keeping Davey in there to provide cover/rotation for Brough/Latu, both lacking match fitness? Bibb or Pitts to drop out.

Yeah, I'd go with this. They're short on forwards as well (no Ryles, Carlaw, Raguin). Use the intercghange well and steamroller them in the forwards.

Apart from that shifting half the team around to accomodate one interchange, I thought one of the major reasons for us not catching HKR last week when we got a bit of a roll on was not having at least one recognised h/b and us losing our composure when the game was still in reach and IMO that is where the game slipped away from us. JD is no half and although he filled in admirably when we had no other option he isn't a player that I'd put there by choice If we need cover for Latu I personally would prefer to see Davey on the bench, he had a bit of impact last week when he came on and in hindsight we might have fared better if he'd come on earlier.
