| Quote Wakefield City="Wakefield City"Bill Arthur knows nothing and although maybe less atmospheric the new stands make it a very impressive stadium.

It does look fantastic, but sometimes less is more, because the atmosphere was what made it special. Maybe money would have been better spent recreating the old south stand in a modern version and developing the away end. Not that I particularly care, I suppose.

| Well, having Leeds at Headingley and United at Elland road on the same night made travelling there and back a whole load of fun but, boy, was it worth it.
Apart from conceding 2 late tries, I thought that Trinity were superb.
Dominated Leeds from the off and although Johnstone will take the plaudits as he cant stop scoring, there were huge performances from plenty of others.
Big Dave up the middle, Tupou had Watkins floundering, Brough with superb organising, Kopczac and King super solid and Hirst with his best game of the season and then throw in Miller and Hampshire plotting and scheming behind the pack.
What a great team performance
Hope Ashurst is ok and it was good to see him walk round the pitch later on.

| Without sounding harsh, they weren't good. But that was because we made them look very ordinary.
Excellent performance from 1-17.
Great defence. The backs delivered tonight, big time. Rocky (great hands!) Torpedo Tupou, TJ, Reece, BJB....
Looked like we would score when the ball went through the hands...
Thought Big Dave was - as usual - outstanding.
Then Horo, Kopy, Keegan & PP coming on continued with the drive forward.
Up the Trin.

| Apart from one error, I thought Hampshire's performance was excellent and his contribution shouldn't go unnoticed. For Johnstone's first try his speed then delayed pass was brilliance, i really can't wait to see teams try to defend him in the summer months.

| I was really pleased with the subtle introduction of PP.
It was clear there were no unrealistic expectations from the coaching team - he filled a gap in defence and carried several defenders on every carry - he made good yards every time.

| One player I really like the look of is King. He will hardly get a mention through the season but he is a big addition to our pack.
No mistakes and shakes people around in both defense and attack.
Dave was well watched today but took a lot of sting out of them.
Brough has completely converted me. I wasn't sure when we signed him but he's our missing link. He could make us something special.
Tom was great as usual. Pity about the kickoff.
I like the Brough to Batch move. That'll get us a lot of tries this year.
Did Wood do 80 mins again? Didn't lose his sparkle at all.
Enjoyable game. Let's keep going.

| The usual suspects get the plaudits and deserve them but George King was immense for me tonight. Great signing.
Great show 1-17

| Absolutely gutted to miss that tonight due to work but backed us to win at the outset. I really fancied us and the boys certainly delivered, well done Trinity, very proud tonight.

| Very proud of that performance tonight. This was a huge occasion, it goes without saying. Leeds opening in their new stadium and, frankly, getting turned well and truly over. Congratulations to you all who played. Never forget tonight. This will be one of your best games

| Managed to get in from wheldon road and watch the game without knowing the score (kind of) so watched on record. What a show. The score massively flattered Leeds. Bill Tupou could well have finished kallum Watkins. Think it was vastman who made a point of certain Leeds players having huge reputation especially their oversees players but in reality are they actually that good ? Tupou or Hurrell? Fifita or Merrin? Miller or that fat lad they played full back? I know who I'd rather have in my side week in week out.
The brand of rugby you lot play makes it a joy to watch when you're in full flight. Could we argue that the salary cap plays a part? Once upon a time the likes of wakey / Cas would only beat the favoured sides if they had a bad night and wakey / Cas had the rub of the green.
