| Quote: Wollo-Wollo-Wollo-Wayoo "This is a real kick in the teeth for many early season ticket purchasers. Please, please MC come on and tell us it's just twitter talk!
The guy is right up their with the likes of Hock, Hardaker and Moore as genuine unlikable person on or off the pitch.
Sad sad day.'"
I think we have to agree that Brough is marmite. For every person that doesn't like him, you'll find one that does.
Personally, I still rate him over Finn, who we were all happy to see at the start of last season and when he's on his game, he is still better than what we have. The key will be whether Chester & co can keep him on his game often enough.
He's had major issues last season with on field discipline at Shudds and spent as much time watching from the stands as playing and no side wants that.
I think that John Kear once said that you cant have too many pivots and it's safe to say that we have plenty.

| Have we ever had the positive side of a deal with Shudds? They take our guys on the up, we relieve them of ballast.

Kirmond, Raleigh, Wood x2, Grix, Huby were/have been all good signings for us from them.

| Ha ha, brilliant. Signing Brough is going to sicken early season ticket buyers off!
The team is a lot stronger collectively as a group and quality to when Brough was here last time and also there's not a clash of personalities with Brad Drew.

Pus MCB if you count from the start of last season.

| so who are we going to sign next Lewis Hamilton,
I'm only a supporter of the club and its the club discretion who they think they should sign, I thought he had his chance but here goes this could be the start of a campaign to really ruffle some feathers
ps I would of loved Hock, Hardacre and don't forget Moore kept us in super league, shame we never saw the best of Newton all players with a bit of grunt which we have missed

| Should this be true then I hope CC and MC have read the riot act to Broughie. Whilst I think the man has been the most "Complete" rugby league player over the last twelve or so years , and I've looked forward to the day when we saw him in a Trinity jersey once again, I just hope that the other players accept him. No matter whether you like the guy or not who can deny that his skills would be an asset to the club?

I’ll happily deny it. The bloke is way past his best and in my opinion offers less overall than we are losing by shipping Grix out and moving Hampshire out of the halves where he has been very good to fullback where he isn’t as good. And thats without his attitude problem.
Still all about opinions i guess.

| Sad, Sad day as it looks like it's true, hope I am wrong but how the he'll do you keep 4 half backs happy who all want to play with 3 who want to develope. Bang goes the team harmony with Brough known as a compulsive gambler, bad attitude & volatile at times, Huddersfield coach will be glad to have got rid !
It's only a matter of time where/when he loses his discipline !
Get ready for events to take over !
A truly sad day.

| Hope it’s true he’s still got a season or two in him, if we’d had him last season we could have been top 4. Sad to see Grix go (if true) he is class and will be missed.

Totaly agree! the downside to this deal is the loss of grix and a few on here who have knocked him for the last two seasons will realise what a good player we had.

| Couldn't agree more Cheshire cat.
I have liked him. I have also liked in the warm ups where he walks behind the defensive line calling out orders. I had never noticed this with previous full backs we've had.
I do though, with two young, capable full backs, and a couple of other young players in our squad, who can fit in there, feel that the time is right, if it also means balancing the squad in other areas, to benefit us as a whole

| I am really pleased if the Brough back to Trinity has substance.
Could be the difference in being nearly there and being there.
His kicking game and astute passing will be a real bonus.
Still faster than Finny ever was lol.
Don’t buy into the upsetting the squad business. They are professionals and I would think Miller for one would love the pressure being taken off him, and free him up to be more of a free spirit.
