I think the best thing that will come out of today will be the confidence, we all know they can play Rugby but it's getting that confidence in themselves and each other. It really looked like the trip to France had done them the world of good because they certainly didn't look like a brand new side. Really pleased with everyone's performance but particularly the likes of Smith,Luke, Aiton, Ellis and how well they linked up with the forwards and the backs. Got to say Washbrook and Trout really impressed today, could turn into some player young Trout.

forget the score , forget the performance of either side, what concerns me again today is drunken wakefield fans who, on their way out of the ground , persist in walking up the terracing behind the sticks to abuse and goad the cas fans at the top into a fight,
its happened on my last 3 visits to wakey and if it wasnt for the intervention of the big lads on security there would have been a brawl - again.
I go home and away watchin cas , this doesnt happen at cas, it doesnt happen at any other SL ground, only wakey
i know its a minority that behave like this, but its there , and its not nice. Its not kids, its blokes of all ages.
it prevents my wife from visiting BV, she refuses to go anymore because of the hatred she's witnessed, and I know it prevents others from going to wakey, shame really because Ive got friends who are wakey fans and I know J Elston personally

Your wife should stop going to cas home games vs wakey then as I hear plenty of banter and choice words from both sets of fans during games at your gaffe.

No lets not, go complain if you have genuine grievance but tonight at the game I saw nothing and was infact very quiet for a Cas game even for a pre season friendly. If you want to get into finger pointing contest, what you've described is par for the course at The Jungle and I could list loads of incidents similar over the years but that would be boring and to say you've never witnessed such things at your place or at others, I find very hard to believe but you get the same drunken minority at every other other ground, to say otherwise is completely dishonest imo.

All clubs seem to have a minority of idiots and if you gather a few thousand people in one place, especially from opposing groups, there is bount to be some friction occasionally.
Its up to the decent majority to ensure this doesn't spread.
Some "language" is commonplace but its more about the context. If there are small groups of "fans" provoking one another then surely the stewards should intervene ?

Doesn't happen at Cas??? You're having a laugh aren't you! Theres only 3 occaisions and 2 current grounds where I ever seen a problem and two of those was at Wheldon Road, the last twice i've been! The other was Hull KR. Every club has its idiots, Cas being no exception wotsoever.

loved every minute of beating cas, the blokes shouting out of the window were comical and good fun. Thats why the majority of people stand down the side of the ground is it not for banter? every game its a scream with fans shouting stuff to the players at the dugout.

my fav yesterday was when a bald bloke shouted to southern who was shivering to death. "dont worry steve its get warmer" he replied "when?"

I think Kingcobra wrote his stuff only because he wanted to forget the score!! Quote "forget the score, forget the performance of either side". Wasn't able to fault Wildcats so had to have a go about the supporters. Its must be what he does when he is bored with his team. So give him a break, he had to get something from the match.

If we did have some trouble at the ground it needs dealing with. Whether Cas or not we should all be able to watch the game without thugs causing an issue.
Saying that, to imply we are the only ones is rediculous.....especially from a Cas fan.

I "befriended" Paul on Facebook, he seems a very committed addition to the squad, and a very decent guy, who's here to prove himself.
I am certain if our youngsters are to be mentored by such a player, they are in fine hands.
