i would do almost anything to promote and support this club that has given me so much, i will get involved in the new disable supporters thing and give it my best, i will eventually give a grand because i can, but if other people less fortunate than me ask me for advise as to if its a donation they are makng or an investment, i will tell them the truth, its a donation.

Would the 500k keep the club going for a season based on current incomings and outgoings? Who would pay off the next tax bill that is coming regarding image rights? How big are the club's debts?

Not really having a go mate, just finding a bit of fun while wer'e chewing the fat.

whatever happens we have no money, we cant sustain a super league club, we will never win anything, we cant afford top players, more debt, unless we get a sugar daddy we will just limp along with note to look forward to. go back part time and live within our means. the club is a dead loss. come on then messiah save us. Thats a point I've made previously and I'll make it again. It is a donation but it should be more if we wish it to succeed in my opinion. Fans stumping up £1,000 need to get something for their money other than a worthless share cerificate and maybe a warm glow inside. I've suggested something along the lines of a free season ticket for say 5 years or something similar - that in itself is a bit of a gamble but at least those who cannot afford to give away a £1,000 get something for their money.

I know there are those who say what about future cash flow. For christ sake we are going to need more than 500 season ticket holders to continue to survive so we would be giving a great deal away but getting so much in the short term - maybe sufficient to guarantee survival - who knows.

I can agree in part with that - we have no money - and that has always been the root of the problem, but I cannot just bring myself to roll over, regardless of who said what, and so I am left with one option - Fight!

Sorry mate you have got me wrong i dont question your loyatys in any way i have read your posts and it is obviose the passion you have for the club i was mearly stateing that seeing the books or who ever was running the club would not matter to me as i am sure in the end it wouldnt with you. I have no fanacial intrested in the club wat so ever and my fanaces would not be effected in any way whatever happens but i will say aging if there is anything i could do to help the situation i would gladly do.

No problem, But do you know what happens if you don't raise the money in time. Also when people have said the current board would resign, how many are on your board and how bad are things really if they all want out. I know many of your supporters will put in a grand as would fans at most clubs were they in the same position I just think you need a hell of a lot of quetions answering before you do part with the cash.

Ive just checked and if I cancel SKY multiroom, switch from Virgin Broadband to get a SKY TV/Phone/Broadband package and switch energy suppliers I can muster up £25 a month in savings.

£25 X 36 months gets me £900!
I need to fins another £3 a month from somewhere.

To try and answer the questions on debts and why investors pulled out based on what I heard last night. If I heard wrong I'm sure someone will correct me.

One of the investors after spending weeks on due dilligence pulled out but was later found to be a former bankrupt Director who was unable to hod office in any event.

The over investor was a multi-millionaire (worth £150m I seem to recall). He examined the books and the Clubs debts did not frighten him off, indeed the debt was "small potatoes" to him. He was keen to take over and the Club requested that the RFL see him so as to see the calibre of investor who was looking to take over the Club. Initially the RFL refused to meet him stating that the process had already started - what process, franchise applications are not to be submitted until March unless they were referring to the process with NL Clubs applications.

They were however persuaded to meet with the Investor and following the meeting with the RFL/SL he said that the investment no longer fitted in with his current portfolio/plans.

This is what I find particularly worrying. He was keen (having seen the books) until he met with the RFL/SL. What did they say to him that made him change his mind ? Did they say anything about who would be getting franchises in 2012 ? Did they say anything at all ? Did he just change his mind ? Who knows ?

If I've got this wrong then please put me straight.

Surely if the RFL knew we had someone with that sort of clout willing to invest, they would not have said anything against our chances and surely could not run the risk of doing so either. Surely the BOD know exactly why he changed his mind, and if they don't then they should be asking him and trying to persuade him otherwise
