No it won't, it has no boxes when I last looked. So the existing boxes still offer vital funding channels. The top decks could be rented as office space once we vacate them. The lower deck still has a passable restaurant/function room etc etc.

Why remove a structure that we have paid for (sort of) and has great earning potential for a structure that would cost millions, barely ever be full with no use other than matchdays. Sorry mate, makes no sense. Would only make sense if our capacity is tested numerous times in a season which is less likely than us beating Cas.

So long as the flats don't get condemned they are a very valuable asset in my opinion. Cas would love something as good at their ground.

After all the work we will have a capacity of 8,500 I think. That will never get tested in the near future.

However should we stay up there will be games where we can sell as much corporate as we can muster.

A new South stand would be a white elephant for now. Don’t get me wrong if we could afford it I’d do it but it’s right at the very bottom of the priority list for now in my book. West stand next when possible.

There’s absolutely no excuse for the absolutely embarrassing state of that touchline provision for a professional sports club. It demonstrates a total lack of care, we simply haven’t been bothered enough to provide something suitable and it’s been like that for a decade.

For what its worth i agree with you, we could have left the North stand as I think most home supporters are happy with that. The north stand refurbishment money should hsve been spent on the West side instead.

Plus the view from the new stand looking over at the West side will still give the impression half the ground is still a dump

FWIW - Minards explained at the forum - for the want of a £300-500K drop in funding/build costs, the West could possibly have been done in this phase.

Question on full time squad if relegated, MC couldn’t say yes or no at this time because the championship clubs haven’t been told what their funding will be next season.MC really disappointed that should relegation happen then 10 years of hard work on producing a top Academy side will just go to pot. Question about second half performances, is it a fitness thing, WP explained that coaching staff and players have discussed this and game statistics show there’s little between first and second half intensity. The academy would be a travesty but I would hope a number of the current crop that show promise would be brought into the first team squad for 2023. Young homegrown players would hopefully make up the nucleus of a championship team if we face that.

I’m glad that part time isn’t the only option and there may be the option to build a competitive team should the unthinkable happen.
