Stay positive fella, cats have a habit of putting us through it! My male main coon lost the use of his back legs a few weeks back but he was right as rain a few days later. You buy a cat thinking it's just a cuddly pet but because they don't fuss over you like dogs and lay dormant like rabbits you suddenly view them as one of the family.

Yeah, I didn't mean to kick it quite that hard.

ta Chris its upset the eldest lad as it was him that kicked him out, he had this knack of putting his paw under the lads bedroom door and shaking it until it opened

One of my cats has an awesome trick, he sits outside clawing at the back door trying to get in, after a while he will go all the way round to the front of the house, jump up to the window (about 7ft) then up through the top window (another 5ft) he then proceeds into the kitchen and jumps up to open the back door where he was sat in the first place.

I can't work out whether he's trying to let the other two cats in or if he's a bit dim and doesn't realise that he's managed to get into the house and doesn't need to open the back door anymore.

Either super clever or super thick!

Strange innit, you'd think they'd know, seeing how they told us our (original and much better) petition was a waste of time!!!

Indeed - I can't imagine how they've convinced themselves that a petition about allowing a supermarket to be developed will make any difference to WMDC, when it's patently obvious that the petition is from a group of people who don't give a 5hit about the supermarket and is purely for the benefit of enabling a private business to realise the imaginary value of an asset. Potty!

Hi I live in Wakefield and want to raise awareness of cats being shot in the Lupset area. Two of mine have recently been shot and another was missing. Today I found her fatally shot

her name was Baby and she didn't even get to see a year old

Really sad to hear that, I'd say teenagers are scum but it's probably most likely adults.

We have 3 cats and all of them have never been allowed outside for similar reasons, most people just hate cats, it's a sad fact of life...

My mam's elderly cat was bagged by a lad from Horbury called Judd, he opened the bag in a field and let his dog give chase, the family cat luckily limped home weeks after and just before I over heard him bragging about bagging cats.

She passed away a few weeks back at the grand old age of 18, so to all those who hate cats and you know who you are - She had the last laugh.

If a cat approaches me in the street I stamp my feet to make it run away, I've done this ever since my mate's mate punched a cat square in the face knocking it off a wall when I was a teen. The cat had walked towards us on the wall, tail wagging and lifted its, head presumably wanting strokes under it's chin, but it got a right hook instead.

Anyway, I've a few contacts on Luppy, so I'll ask them to ask about.

Being a registered Cat breeder I spend quite a lot of time talking to people about cats. People would be surprised to hear stories I've heard.

Do you ever talk to cats about people? And if so, what do they think of us?

One individual kept a dustbin full of water in case a cat wandered into his garden, he wouldn't hold the cat under, he'd just put the bin lid on, he said it took ages for one to die, my wife broke down crying whilst he was telling us. Most people just usually shout to their dogs "Cats in garden!!!"
