| I think you are stretching the credulity of the situation because surely logic suggests he would be named in the squad regardless. It would give Warrington something extra to think about and I would believe that currently the two league points are the most important. I presume when you are trying to defend his superior signing he is not helping your defence. I am beginning to realise why he preferred a two year deal.

No, I'm not stretching anything. WP has made it very clear that it's the next man in, Gaskell has not played for a month, Miller got a head knock and was laid up by the rules, not any injury as such. Walker is the utility H/B at present in form so why punish him.
Only FB was up for debate.
However and as ever it's not about team selection is it. For reasons best known to yourself you are desperate now to prove Gaskell as a 'sick note' by making out he's still injured, even though you have no proof. Just another huge assumption.
Of course, you may be right but excuse me that based on your past history I don't ask for more than just your word, proof would be nice.
Here's a thought. Instead of looking for grey clouds why not rejoice in the fact that for the first time in a few seasons WP has had a real selection conundrum. There are a number of players and not just Gaskell who can consider themselves unluck if they don't play let alone get selected this weekend. Whether that turns out to be a good thing I'll reserve judgement but you'd hope so.

| Quote: GET EM ON SIDE REF "For what it’s worth Hampshire is not a fullback
Never was and never will be
He is a number 6 and old fashioned stand off
I agree he never quite lived up to his potential
But then again he was never given a long run in the side
I personally think he is a better stand off than Miller
Only time will tell now if he finally delivers that potential given Castlefords injury list he may finally get that extended run at number 6'"
Sorry but I don't agree. I think his best position is fullback coming into the attacking line in broken play. His pace and his step make that an ideal role for him.
He plays off the cuff very well, when he is tasked with bringing other players into the game then I see far too often someone taking away any options by running us into a corner out wide.
I don't profess to be a Rugby League coach and have never played the game so I'm happy to admit I don't know everything (or maybe even anything) but I have watched Wakefield for about 35 years now and that's my observation.

Would you like to expand on your statement regarding all industries have their own chissitts, and while your at it would you like to explain your obsession with me being a lorry driver, I don't like you either but I don't associate you personally with the insurance industry.

| Vastman you really do overestimate your importance, you seem to think your some sort of board guru.
People have opinions and to be perfectly honest your opinions and views on on such have no consequence.
Who cares what you think on other posters or views.
Maybe you could take some time out and give fisherman's cap a go for a while.

Why mention his job at all if that's the case?

No, I don't but you seem to.
It's not an opinion or certainly not an informed one when you don't have any of the facts. You don't and neither do I but it wasn't me questioning the wisdom of those in charge.
I have very little to do with the current regime other than a bit of stadium stuff. But I did when Ted was in charge and although he was far from perfect I was often stunned by how much the truth of the situation differed so widely from the perceived opinion on the terraces and that's all these forums are, an extension of the terraces, It was a lesson learned I can assure you.
There is currently nobody posting on these forums whose word I would take on face value, so don't feel offended as I don't expect you to take mine either.

Despite being retired before he joined RLfans and me only mentioning being an ex HGV driver in the context of a few points being made in the odd thread on rlfans this poster insists on associating me with this occupation on at least 2 dozen times as if there is some sort of stigma attached to it, odd indeed.

Always wanted to be a truck driver as a kid, more the Aussie road trains TBH but a noble trade all the same. I've seen some of those blokes defy the laws of physics when manoeuvring their trucks to get into a tight spot, hats off.

| I was a transport manager for 25 years delivering to the Dewhurst chain of butchers shops. My driver's had not only to negotiate town centres but also unload into the shops, they really earnt every penny they received and deserved more. In charge of a vehicle and load of up to 40 tonnes is a really responsible job with long and unsociable hours.
Chissit you have my respect and take no notice of people who just think you just sit there and drive.

Your looking at 3 to 4 grand to get through to your class 1 add onto this a medical every few years depending on age and continuous cpc training and digital tachograph cards. We constantly get abuse from the public and you can be pulled in for everything by the authorities/ police at anytime and the fines are brutal, which under the circumstances of us being in control of a killing machine maybe is correct. It's extremely hard to get anywhere to park at times to keep secure and our transport network for a small island needs a complete overall. If I had my time again I'd of done what my parents said and got my head down at school.

I'm not sure why you think this is OK.
Leave out the personal comments.
Either comment on the rugby chat or don't. That's it. Pretty simple.

| I think this one has run its course. Only going to decend into more personal comments.
I'm thinking Cas Forum will cover their squad players if you want to join in.
