| Quote: Jambon "Tell you what Jungle man, we may not get a franchise and if we don't i will find it hard to pump anymore money into the RFL by attending international games etc.
We may not have been the best side in the League but we certainly have contributed to the entertainment. Im sure you remember the game in 2006 when we sent you down, which i think has happened twice since super league started. Your mullet wearing, banjo playing, webbed fingered fans were not so smug then were they!
We will come back from this, but Wakefield will never die!'"
Hold on let me reach for my hanky!!! There are many a wakey poster who have asked why some cas fans are "loving" the current situation Wakefield find themselves in. Well my friend, you have answered the question. Do you think that the day you sent us down has been forgotten without the chance to gloat on any bad luck that comes your way. I remember the smug faces and intimidation and violence (yes violence) suffered by some of our supporters at the hands of some of yours and the message boards full of crap on how pleased you were we were out of superleague!. Didn't we just get on with it (twice), brush ourselves down and hold our heads high (which is what you should be doing at this moment in time).
Who knows what's going to happen and for me, playing in the lower league made us a better side and prepared the club for harder times. At the moment we are on the front foot, but believe me when I say this (well it's up to you), I'd Wakey in Superleague any day over Crusaders, Salford, Harlequins

No, Dickie was on his way to hospital to have Dave Craven's tongue surgically removed from his rectum.

| Am i the wildcats fan who thinks that we should both ground share? I mean look at sports here in australia. The AFL in Perth, Freemantle and West Coast Eagles are bitter rivals and both share the same stadium, just train in different places. And they both get 50,000 + fans to every game, you cant get a ticket when they play each other unless your a member. I think it would be better in the long run. New events could be arranged, The glasshouten Shield etc... Just think we need to swollow our pride and moving to barnsley will be the death of us

A groundshare at Glasshoughton would be the death of us. Do you honestly believe that the RFL will allow 2 SL franchises to play out of 1 stadium. That stadium being in Casleford who do you think would get a franchise. We would be reduced to being a NL club called Wakefield playing in Castleford - how long do you think we would last then.
Barnsley as a temporary measure is our only chance and thats pretty slim. Our only chance of a franchise is the failure of others which is a pretty sad state of affairs. Its turning fans against fans as we can see from these boards. Rugby League used to be a family, a family of Clubs and a family of fans that used to help each other but no more and I for one am getting more and more tired of it.

I don't for definite, it's just a guess based on the fact that your chairman has been stating for 3 years that you were ready to go, and yet you still haven't applied for full PP.
It is my personal opinion that Richard Wright is the twin brother of Alistair Campbell when it comes to spin.
I am waiting to see if his latest deadline of submitting it before Christmas comes and goes without any further movement.

That's the most insightful post I've seen through all of this sorry affair; we've let the RFL and Sky reduce us to a situation where fans of RL heartland clubs are wishing each other out of existence, whilst begging to be allowed to sit at the top table. It's shameful.

And when you come down to the championship and the door is closed firmly shut behind you, it will take a while but the slow realisation amongst the fans that the RFL don't give a sheeite about the game below SL and that however loud you protest about the unfairness and outrageousness of how the game is run will spread across the wakey masses. Your time in SL will be over.
Some of you who have sniped at fans of teams below SL over the past 12 years will suddenly be faced with having to accept life down here in the championship or hawk theirselves off to Leeds/Cas etc!
Of course, you will hang onto every thread of hope, every appeal, every last protest etc but in the end, the championship is where it will be kicking off the 2012 NRC somewhere like Workington!
Great isn't it!
