We approached today’s game with the game plan we have for the part time teams.

To try batter through the middle with 4/5 carries from first receiver.

It works vs most teams in this league but now for another full time team who can soak it up.

We needed an expansive game today but have tried to go down the middle and failed.

Now last couple of minutes and referees has given us 2 x penalties after we’ve been starved of them for 88minutes.

Just one game.
Tough to go there with some players missing.

Will do us good to realise there's more work to do.

Some of the comments on FB are ridiculous.

I'm talking about players not turning up today, been out enthused in every department, thinking we're already there without putting the graft in.

Toulouse were always going to come after us and we showed up woefully short and dare I say under prepared.

I don't think that has anything to do with how we travelled though.

Dare I say it, we've really missed Lino since he's been out. Our last play options were so predictable today, add that to our passing was horrible at times. So many players were taking the ball above their heads or by their feet, it just wasn't flowing at all today.

Got to give Toulouse some credit , handed us our asses this evening .

Losing isn’t a problem providing we learn from it. Full time team , injuries and sweltering heat … all helped to show our weaknesses . We def need a half back going forward …. Kay isn’t the answer , Gale struggled today … tbf they all did , and not convinced Lino would have made that much difference . We need to be sorted for the run in and the vital last game .

The problem with losing in the Championshio when you are full time and spending a SL player budget is it creates an element of doubt in the squad that other teams will now see as a weakness, other teams will now smell blood, you find after the first defeat you will have a few more, it has happened so much Featherstone we’re well known for it.

Well Wakefield won't be playing if the GF is in Toulouse and they're a different side on the road.

It's ridiculous that the final is played at anyone's home ground to be honest, but that's another discussion.

Haven't seen the game, but it would appear to be the culmination (hopefully) of a steady decline in team performance since the "high" of the 1895 final. Ok, we've had injury problems, but the teams that we've put out, including today's, should be capable of beating Toulouse.
Tiredness should not be an excuse for a full-time professional sports team.
We have arguably the three finest wingers in the Championship, and I particularly noticed in the Dewsbury and Batley games that none of the wingers received a pass other than when they were carrying out the initial drives in a set. What a waste!
Hopefully today's hiccup will be the last and we're back to winning ways next Sunday.

We have 10 games left seven at home and three away. We do panic, it was unlikely that we would go all season undefeated in the league. We lose and it’s, this player needs to be replaced. If we finish first and reach the Grand Final then our prize is to play at home.

I see the problem this way.
We have one FB
two wingers, as I doubt we will see much of Jerry if he doesn't retire with injury and franco is useless
two young centres, as thornley injured yet again so I expect he will contribute very little
Gale looks done to me and every team are now sussing him out, Kaye is not an half at all, which only leaves Lino

Our one to five were out played man to man by their opposites today. Plus you don't have options if any further injuries should happen and more backs get crocked

I agree, but the question is, do we have enough to win the championship this year, if the answer is yes, then none of that really matters that much as from next year onwards, we seem to be planning pretty well throughout the squad.
