| That's the problem though, the clubs not progressing.
The growth of the clubs been restricted and starved of investment at a level that would enable the club to develop.
Before people start on about survival, yes I agree in the early days MCs starvation policy was required, but we are now 8 seasons in.
CC always said money was very tight he then changed it not available, he like Poaching was starved of money and restricted.
Just need MC to bend his rules a little and have faith in the coach to spend any increase Wisley.

You are mixing up growth of club with build better team. They are not the same thing.
Doing the second before the first puts you where Bradford are.
Building the academy, building the stadium and building the corporate involvement have all moved forward as far as I can see.

| We’ve certainly damaged the short term cash flows with that performance, is it just my thinking or do we always seem to shoot ourselves in the foot when we get anywhere near a decent turnout ,if 5500 is a decent turnout for our so called derby game , then treat the newbies to what they’ve been missing . From a financial point of view it was like committing harakiri and really feel for the powers that be trying selling a product that is sub standard . We seem destined to skirt the lower end of super league attendances for quite a while going forwards and the impact that will bring on player retentions and future signings .

Think it was down to Chester wasting money on injury prone or past it players is the reason why we are were we are now.Think his last 3 signings to improve the team this season prove the point .

Change the chuffing record please.
There is nothing wrong with the club it’s the players who are under performing. They are more than good enough to beat Cas but decided to play like clowns.

I think he ment who we have kept.i personnally dont think arona is as bad as some make out for the others well its easy for us to say who should of resigned and who shouldnt i for one felt it was time for ashurst and crowther to go but we dont do the finances and somone to replace them may want double there wage..as already said this season is about finishing no lower than 11th then hopefully with the ongoing ground improvements and willie signing players ( dont forget gaskell and lineham where chesters signings)hopefully things on the field will improve

| Sorry Vasty but the club have underperformed.
Its interesting how you seem to think you have the bagging rights for the players after years of defending them

I'd say the club has performed as expected with a limited budget and small supporter base. 2017/2018 it performed better than expected. We can all argue about speculating to accumulate but that is no guarantee of success and if we don't have the success then we are back to being the basket case of a club who had wind up order after wind up order in the off season.
Personally I don't feel we do enough off the pitch to build the supporter base up or get the club into the local populations minds. Twitter and Facebook posts preach to the converted.

| I would imagine Michael Carter to be comfortably well off especially in comparison to most on here, but not wealthy enough to impart his hard earned into the club in serious quantities like some owners, that being so he has to generate the cash by whatever means open to him which I would imagine to be very difficult, I doubt is as simple as some people on here believe it is, If he employs a coach I'm pretty sure the only input he'll have on a signing is a financial one that's assuming the player wants to come on the clubs terms which is his responsibility, he can't make sponsors spend their money if there are better options out there, usually we can only attract the players others don't want, that then seeps down to attracting new fans, it's all that simple, I wish I'd have done it years ago, Don't know how much of a wage if any he takes from the club, but for me it won't be as much as he deserves.

What a dim post.
Two completely different issues.
If you think Trinity have underperformed in recent years you are even more clueless than you appear and that’s saying something.
I’m a fan I’m entitled to bag players after Thursdays, we all are. Defending them in the past has been fairly easy as they have done very little wrong.
So by your logic you can’t criticise a performance unless you have criticised constantly. Brilliant logic.

| Chissitt. When you say that we only get players that other clubs don`t want its probably due to the fact we are still fighting to avoid the drop, no player would commit a long term contract to that situation normally, but I see it as a shrewd business deals by the club to get some brilliant deals through . When we signed Big Dave that was probably one of the biggest scoops of 2016 and for him to be here 6 years on is some good negotiating. Keeping Tom Johnstone here every season is some feat, as it would seem easier to cash in on him when wire and whinos were showing an interest in him. Although Milky was released by Hull , at the time he was touted as a top player as he was a junior kangaroo half back. Admitted that we don`t freshen the squad as regular as other teams but I think if we did that we would`nt be in the top tier.
when I read some of the posts on here I imagine some the ages they are, because as others have written the position we are in is nowhere near as bad as the early 80s.

Jumped on who exactly. There are plenty of posters on here who have posted negative comments about players who I make no comments on. Problem for you is I can spot those with an agenda, you being one.
