He is a number 6 and old fashioned stand off
I agree he never quite lived up to his potential
But then again he was never given a long run in the side
I personally think he is a better stand off than Miller
Only time will tell now if he finally delivers that potential given Castlefords injury list he may finally get that extended run at number 6

Miller and Lino fit with Walker offering competition in the backs, Gaskell's main position. FB is the only possible opening but Escare played well, why drop him, might as well save Gaskell till next week when we might need him far more. Just a thought.

I think you are stretching the credulity of the situation because surely logic suggests he would be named in the squad regardless. It would give Warrington something extra to think about and I would believe that currently the two league points are the most important. I presume when you are trying to defend his superior signing he is not helping your defence. I am beginning to realise why he preferred a two year deal.

No, I'm not stretching anything. WP has made it very clear that it's the next man in, Gaskell has not played for a month, Miller got a head knock and was laid up by the rules, not any injury as such. Walker is the utility H/B at present in form so why punish him.

However and as ever it's not about team selection is it. For reasons best known to yourself you are desperate now to prove Gaskell as a 'sick note' by making out he's still injured, even though you have no proof. Just another huge assumption.

Of course, you may be right but excuse me that based on your past history I don't ask for more than just your word, proof would be nice.

Here's a thought. Instead of looking for grey clouds why not rejoice in the fact that for the first time in a few seasons WP has had a real selection conundrum. There are a number of players and not just Gaskell who can consider themselves unluck if they don't play let alone get selected this weekend. Whether that turns out to be a good thing I'll reserve judgement but you'd hope so.
