I have made this point over and over again.
The RFL hold almost all the cards.
A club runs all the risks you say plus they can't compete in any RFL comp whilst being sat against them in any court case they take out against the RFL.
A club may still win the case they take out BUT it would completly destroy them as a realistic member of the RFL as they would get shaffted every single time the RFL could manage it.
Taking the RFL to court win or lose would be the biggest act of comiting suicide any club could undertake IMHO.
It stinks I agree but the RFL have it all sewn up very nicely.
