Seriously I understand the way people feel, indeed I feel the same way also. I could either say f' the club or get behind them, its my choice as it is all of of us and I've chosen for all the faults with the Club to support them and give them another chance because it could well be our last chance.

I do believe that in around 8 weeks we will all feel a damned lot happier.

The time the media manager could actually earn his keep is now, so what do the club do get rid of him (can't be paying him that much as part time) and we get Teds Daughter and her ramblings.

Fans have been taken for granted for too long - the club needs to wake up and address this and quickly. If they really need the fans to buy Season Tickets now, then say so and explain why (given Teds daughters assurances HMRC nothing to worry about) and also tell us what players have been signed.

Far be it for me to answer for Phil, I don't think he is, he just chooses a different approach to channel the frustration into something that could help the club out of the mess they're in.

I completely understand why people are holding back, that's their choice, and the loudest critics usually peddle the fact they feel they get set on when they post their thoughts, but recently their has been a swing in the balance where anyone who shows support for the club gets mocked for doing so. That's the bit I don't get.

If people want to take their bat home and keep hold of their money, fine, but don't expect things to improve next season.

i have missed more games this year than in the last 20 years all together because basically i feel conned re the catalans playoff game, last years tax and brough going being "the best deal we could get"

Well I'm renewing my season ticket this weekend, I'm not in the rose tinted brigade but I'm a WAKEFIEILD TRINITY supporter. The new stadium is our life line and good news on the 22 Oct followed by a steady season until we move into Newmarket and we will get a franchise.

We are all Trinity supporters on here and want whats best for the club ands if the club came out and were honest with and we all worked together we can succeed, weather the storm and get into newmarket, new owners and fulfull this clubs potential on and off the pitch.

Surely all the diehard supporters we have on this site should be buying a s/ticket if not for any other reason than it will be the last season superleague will be played at belle vue.

You're so wrong - I feel it just as everyone else does, but I'm not prepared to throw away everything we've worked for and, when you start on that premise, then you must continue to nudge and nurture as much as you can.

5 Years ago last Friday was the first big meeting for me as a SWAG representative. I was called to a meeting at the Town Hall with Ed Balls, Mary Creagh, Peter Box and Denise Jeffrey, John Foster and Andy Wallhead. Also there were Ted & Eric and Diane. I had to leave my mum whilst she was taken to hospital and following the meeting I had to find out where she was in Pinders. When I got there she was unwell, but well looked after. A couple of hours later I left her, as she seemed stable and comfortable. Another couple of hours later I got the call.

In the meantime I had the chance to explain the meeting and what we had been trying to achieve - my mum was very proud of me and my efforts. That was one night that I will never forget!

I hope this goes someway towards explaining why I am persistent in trying to keep things going and if anyone is irritated by my constant 'clubman' view then I am sorry, but I have to continue - whoever is running our club (although I am only sorry that Ted doesn't have the funding to do what he, and all of us, would like to do with our club).

thats your opinion i suppose but i tend to agree with him and i think its you that is miles away from the general opinion of educated informed fans but there again i suppose it depends on which ones you mix with. the pecimist or the optimist. i myself am the latter and will be picking my season tickets up on saturday and looking forward to next season

I hope the club sorts the tax situation out for the next year as if we don't move into Newmarket for 2011, season ticket sales will be down the toilet if the games are at Oakwell.

I think the silent majority are with phil. As usual in life the ones on the soap boxes tend to be the exceptions.

I don't think any of us like the mushroom treatment. I bet there's not one person on here (or among the die-hard fans that stand on the terraces) that wouldn't like the club to improve on its communication with its paying public. As Phil says this is one area that could be easily improved but never seems to be addressed.
Having said that, I would rather have solid information when it is given rather than the made-up ramblings (spin or downright lies!) of other clubs chairmen.

Personally I will be going down to the club at the weekend to sort my season ticket out. Belle Vue has been a big part of my life for 20-odd years now and if this is to be the last season there I don't want to miss it.

To be fair you talk about solid information against spin or lies, but it seems to me that we are subjected to the latter more often than not. I do commend people like TRB for the work they do and admire the commitment, but as it has been pointed out before this is a two way thing. We were told that all recruitment was sorted two weeks ago and now we are hearing a different tune. So tell me what is that if it is not spin or downright lies????

The comment about things being complete was amongst the existing players - i.e. who was being re-newed; who was staying; who was leaving (although the Blanch thing wasn't complete at the time AFAIK, it was already in negotiation and has been completed asap). What isn't complete is the recruitment and I don't know of any beyond the 3 well documented on here that are completed - that doesn't mean there aren't any!

Getting to Barnsley on a Sunday on public transport is both a lot more costly by crossing zones or a lot more time consuming with buses. If people want excuses, that will be a major one.
